Freemasonry is not a religion. Some Masons are Christians, so they believe in Jesus. All Masons believe in God, but what they understand to be God is their own business. We do not discuss religion or politics in the lodge as a rule. This is why we use neutral terms like The Great Architect Of The Universe (to a Muslim Mason, this is Allah, to a Jewish Mason, this would be Ha-Shem etc) Although most lodges have a Bible, we use the neutral term Volume Of Sacred Law, because the Muslim Mason will swear on the Quran, the Zoroasteran on the Zend-Avesta etc) So, there is no such thing as a "Masonic God."

Whether or not the Believe in God it makes no difference, Salvation is not in the name of God but in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for God has manifested himself in Christ Jesus Colossians 2:9 in Christ dwells the fullness of the godhead bodily and we are complete in him lacking nothing. Whether or not you believe in the existence of God if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you're not save, you're not a child of God and eternal condemnation awaits you.

@Christiana Asamoah The belief in a god, is so that when taking an obligation not to reveal certain things, it is done in the presence of the highest authority there is in a mans life....his god. Rather like when in court as a witness. There is no religious doctrine in Freemasonry.

Sometimes, I get worried about the assertions of some individuals who don't know anything about masonry but pretend to dent the good image of the fraternity. Let's all read more about it to reduces the negativity and increases the positive aspect of Freemasonry. It changes, a good man to a better man. I grew up while my dad, was already a member of the fraternity, I joined after that I realised all what people especially Ghanaians, described masons was a total lie.
