me being a 15 year old making trap and boom bap tryna sound authentic like the ogs but man, this video really gave me hope and inspiration that a young kid like me also has the knowledge and experience to know how to replicate an old an unique sound.

this is amazing ! as a brown man from San Jose born in the 1980s who is a second generation freestyle fan and has been making music for 15 years, I have always wanted to see a video like this! it deconstructs what goes into a legit freestyle beat. so much history and culture in the pattern. good to see the youngster involved in the process at an early age. I wish I started when I was his age instead of watching too many sitcoms and other frivolities 😄✌🏽

Glad your working on a track. And glad you liked the video..there isn't much out there. Yes you probably got same pack. Because not many. Mine was producers vault if I remember correctly. To be honest. I use it more as a template or a Skelton for track. With time and practice you can use your own sounds..

@@DJJohnnyTapia yes, I also got it from producers vault. This video literally answered all of my questions I was having. I bought that same keyboard, but I’m using FL Studio. I was thinking I wasted $$ until I watched this. SUPER HELPFUL 👍👍

@@DjDestinyChicago hey this Aurelio, you can also use some of the stock 808 sounds that come with FL, most 808 sounds will work with freestyle.

Nice! Gracias. There's so little info on freestyle (that I'm aware of) that this really comes in handy. Aurelio is very talented. Is the complete track available somewhere? I haven't been able to find modern freestyle songs or artists.

Thanks, this is one of the beats we didn't finsh. I like it a lot too. And maybe I will write lyrics to it. One that he did finish is "Forever True" by John Tapia its on spotify and most digital outlets like "apple music. But you remind me of how much I liked that beat. If you do your research there are a good number of artists putting out Freestyle especially this past year. Thanks for watching
