A lot of people grew up the same way in Richmond CA, The Iron Triangle during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. My birthdays were count downs. I made it to age 12, can I make it to 13? And so on. When I survived to age 18 I was amazed. I never thought I could live that long with so much violence all around me. You grow up in Richmond without believing in GOD. Too many people prayed and begged for help from God as they were murdered. You couldn't call the Police bcuz they were Corrupt and would tell the gangs who called the police. The national song of the Iron Triangle was "where I'm from" singer Brown Reklus. People will never understand and can't understand what it's like to grow up like that.
