I think sports played a major role in Rick Ross becoming so diciplined, it gave him the mental strenght and the drive to work on something, practice and push forward, improve and overcome whatever obstacles that was in his way. Also I believe it taught him fair sportmanship and respect.

A lot of people grew up the same way in Richmond CA, The Iron Triangle during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. My birthdays were count downs. I made it to age 12, can I make it to 13? And so on. When I survived to age 18 I was amazed. I never thought I could live that long with so much violence all around me. You grow up in Richmond without believing in GOD. Too many people prayed and begged for help from God as they were murdered. You couldn't call the Police bcuz they were Corrupt and would tell the gangs who called the police. The national song of the Iron Triangle was "where I'm from" singer Brown Reklus. People will never understand and can't understand what it's like to grow up like that.

I watched his doc. again recently and find it really fucked up that he lost his name to a rapper. He tried to sue but it was unsuccessful. If I took someone's name and they felt a way I'd respectfully pass them off with some bread.

Tookie didn’t start the Westside Crips. He was in prison when it popped off. When he came home he became the face of the Crips because of his physique and rep for doing crazy shit.

@@user-nq8tr1hw3w You don't know wtf you tlkn bout dawg. He started the Westside Crips In the early portion of the 70's. He was the head dog! My Uncle Badcot Who is a an Original Westside Crip even said it and Cutes from Magnificent 7 can vouch for that💯

@UCgVuIt5L_0LCJPtzRmUsnfw You're not wrong anywhere. But what I'm saying is.. The Gang "Westside Crips" Is What Tookie Started. My other uncle Started 8tray? Yes thats true! But even He gave Tookie the credit for giving him the permission to Start His own set on the Westside. Like He said Tookie was the leader of all The Westside Crips which later on angered Raymond and Jimel! Those are his words. Not mine. I'm sure he knows more than me and you combined. I wasnt back then 🤷🏾‍♂️
