In this video I take a good look at the Freewell All Day 8 Pack filter set for the DJI Mavic 3 Pro. We look at everything in the box and show installation on the drone as well as a real-world demonstration on all three of the drone's cameras.

The new filters look great, and nice demo slowing how they slow the motion down at a busy intersection, Thanks for sharing Marcus.

Thanks for the very informative video on ND filters. It is the best demonstration of the blurring effect caused by slowing down the shutter speed I've seen yet. In all the videos I've watched, I haven't heard anyone explain what ND stands for. Most of your audience already knows, but for a few that don't know, it stands for "Neutral Density". All that means is the filters are color neutral. It changes the amount of light entering the camera lenses leaving the color rendering virtually unchanged. Thanks again for the very fine video. Hope to meet you some day soon around the area.😁

Thank you! When I hear people say that their ND filter makes the colors pop, I chuckle a little. 🙂

Thanks for the video Marcus. I just picked this pack up a couple days ago and if it will ever stop raining in south Florida I’ll try them out. 😊

Thanks for another great video, Marcus! BTW, I only counted 14 "Motion Blur" comments. Of course, I could have missed 1 or 12! It seemed to me that the (you know what) blur was the most apparent on the 7X lens. Next time, try changing the F-stop. It was almost always on F2.8. If you stopped it down, that would force the camera to slow down the shutter speed. If you want to get a neat video, put the ND1000 filter on, then do a Hyperlapse video of a Sun set. Just park the drone in one spot pointed at the Sun. Shoot for a 20 second video. At 30 frames per second, that would be 600 pictures. With a 2 second time between shots, it would take1200 seconds, or 20 minutes. Just start recording about 20 minutes before sunset. I've done this and it's neat to watch the Sun move down, while the clouds go from white, to gold as the Sun gets low, then the color fades out of them. Thanks for listening to me jabber at you!

Hi Marcus, thanks for the video. As they say, you can lead a horse to water, but ............... If you want precision landing you must get a ROUND landing pad. All my drones that support precision landing when using a round landing pad land right in the middle of the H.

Lol. DJI doesn't require a landing pad at all like Fimi and Hubsan err... drones do. It simply requires ascending to 7 meters (7 meters/22.9658793 feet (22 feet 11 19/32 inches, approximately) 😂 straight up before any horizontal/right stick input. How much you want to bet Marcus has his thumb on the right stick? Doesn't take much with Mavic 3 series to add input. That's my best uneducated guess anyway.

Thank you, Richard. DJI drones don't even need a landing pad for PL. As long as there is a differentiator on the takeoff spot the drone should find it. My Mavic 2 would land on an oil spot in the pavement if that's where it took off from. 🙂

Hi Marcus - interesting video. One point - you appeared to be recording in 4k 60 - so to satisfy the 180 rule your shutter speed I believe should have been 1/120 not 1/60 as you were trying to achieve

Yes, I see that while I was shooting with the 3X tele I was in 60 fps. I don't remember changing that. Good catch! 🙂

Hi Marcus. I noticed that your iso was up very high on Variable I believe. I would have thought it should be at 100-200. It was over a thousand at times. BTW I really enjoy watching your videos, been watching for a few years now. Regards from England.

@IdahoQuadcopter One thing I love about DJI Pro mode is you can lock or put ISO, Shutter and aperture in "Auto" - we all remember "Aperture priority" and "Shutter Priority" from cameras. With DJI having "auto" (Priority) you can add "Iso" Priority to the mix or have combos. Here's the trick - in "Auto" ISO uses intervals of 10, so instead of 100, 200, 400,800,1600, you will get numbers like 510, 630, 720 etc. Much more granular - even if it's Auto controlled by the multi-meter (mm is the exposure value you're shooting for as in 0.0, +3, -1.3 and such. That's all I can realistically put in a comment. I MUST make a video on this. Coming up in next few weeks.

there are mavic 3 pro filters with independent adjustment per lens. Is it interesting to work with a filter that covers the 3 lenses at the same time knowing that the camera does not have the same focal length or adjustable aperture?

Wow. The round PL NDs look insane they are so large. I have a Polar Pro VND on the way -but I sure would like the ND1000/ND2000 Long Exposure ones for this drone. I'll see if they sell them as a separate kit for Hyperlapse and for water. Love the case they use. 😊 Hey Marcus, I decided to grab these to add to the DJI ND's which I am quite happy with - looked fir an affiliate link so you could make a few bucks, but didn't see one. Do you have the DJI Wide Angle Lens? I.have been working with it and.its good for certain scenarios..

I am not sure why you are trying to do the “precision RTH” , DJI hasn’t had that since the original Mavic Pro except on their RTK units.

I've had a Mavic Air 2 and now a 2S. Both will land within 5-6 inches of where it took off. The technology is really slick. I especially appreciate it when flying at night. I turn on the landing light and it's back on the pad! My experience has been that it comes down off to the side and then slowly slides into the correct position before touch down.

What the heck is up with your "Not Very Precise Precision Landing" on your Mavic 3 Pro? Mine has missed the pad exactly once put of perhaps 50-60 flights. Even when I have no pad, but white parking spot lines, it is spot on. Note: I do nothing special outside of rising to: 7 meters/22.9658793 feet (22 feet 11 19/32 inches) approximately - give or take a picometer or two (1 trillionth of a meter. Then off I fly! I cannot imagine what is causing all of your landings to be almost the same distance from the pad, about 2 -3 feet or half-3/4 meter. You ARE using a DJI Pad right? (Do they even HAVE a DJI branded pad? I've never seen one) If that's an Autel pad, mystery solved. No way Mavic 3 Pro is landing on that!
