It astounds me that some people can't appreciate this. Djs have beautiful minds. They just work differently.

One is quickly aware of just the travesty that hiphop & similar genres have become these days. Lost all heart & soul. This is the real deal.

Immense skill? Its not like playing a guitar Joe Satriani level.
@liddle135 жыл бұрын
Rem same concept. Complete control of your instrument. No one else in the world has ever replicated this with 2 DJs on 4 decks cutting scratching 45s seamlessly. The level of control on display here is immense and the hours of practice would have been obscene. Just cos it's different doesn't make it less skilful.
THE crème de la crème. Masterful Set! Product Placement and Brainfreeze are desert island disks!

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but this seems to be an ode to the days of Northern Soul and Reggae from 60's-70's era. Along with the way hip hop was done in the late 70's early 80's. Finding those deep grooves.

he isn't cutting the guitar but a bass drum beat in and out...and using the opposite fader to chop the guitar in and out... Not to diss...because any set where you have to cut/mix 45s is very difficult but just so you know

Andrew Andseven In fact at 0:39 it starts with Pt.2 which is instrumental and they blend it with Pt.1 at 1:01 which features (in addition to the drums) the guitar gimmick and the "shoo be do" vocals;)
