First off I would like to thank you for this video I just did a 2013 Freightliner yesterday and this was the exact problem burning smell in the cab lights are flashing four ways didn't want to work turn signals didn't want to work

@@oaguilar6459 Good video..! I have 2011 Cascadia and l have similar issues my left and right turn indicators has a fast blinking and I have no front turn light communication signal. Could replace the Sam Chassis with a used one off another same year truck with buying a new one and having to get it programmed at the dealership?? Thanks

My 2012 Freightliner Cascadia had this problem ⚠️ yesterday. I got back this morning and everything seems to work just fine. Should I still have the truck computer chassis replaced?

Quick question... I have the same problem. On the bottom Connector in the middle where you broke the clip, is the plug supposed to stay in there?? The yellow Connector??

I think its pretty important in this video to mention that before unplugging one wire the sam chass information needs to be exported so you can get that exact same information back when you put the next one in. Also you didn't buy a new one which has been updated through Detroit. The cover no longer snaps from the top. It screw on the bottom. Yes not exporting the data first leads to major headaches.

@@bilalmanzoor6313 I'd leave it to a professional. Why do you need to export the information from whatever module? First thing first is to make sure the correct Vin is showing. Delete any other vins showing. Many step to follow before, during and after when messing with the software.

@@TripleA3000 freightliner, and others are a single Sam multiplexed systems. Programming isn't the same I wrench on all from ford to Hino. Not rocket science of course but it's a bitch when you brick a module. Having to re flash with origional software then updating to correct version. Like cummins we have bypassed the def header so then it's not the typical softwaresay just with the acm. You then have to flash all the modules. Usually a 6 hour process assuming all goes well. And shouldn't need instructions. If you need them you shouldn't be doing it.

@@TripleA3000 ya, freightliner updates their systems weekly. KZfaq and Google gives you a rough. Did it tellyou the order of the modules to update or what to do with what fmi that populates when done out of order? Or just have a go and update a module and brick the hole system? Roughly $200 an hour to do programming a DD. Absolutely if someone applied themselves they may be able to do it. I've seen so many fail even with directions. Back to the point. The systems are not the same. Huge difference.

Thank you. I have same issues and helps me to understand the root or at least in your case what was the root. I was suspecting to be sam chassis because also my abs module does not show but I hablé to check into that. Will see if sam chassis blinking lights may be also related to my wabco abs wont show alive within software reading. Checking that side now. Th aka again

My truck did have same issue reason last truck wash the put lots of water I. Ta area and burn Sam Chassi so it burn in few day due shorts it did with the contact of water

I have a freigliner cascadia the ligths are flashing when the truck is off I take to the mechanic and they can't find the problem

If is flashing when is off check the main Fuses it depends on what year is your truck it will be on the firewall next to the engine fan solenoid or right on top of the batteries is a big fuse one of them is bad

Check the voltage with a multimeter if you get 5 or 6 voltage them you have a short circuit . But You can fallow the harness on the driver side turn signal. And see if you anything. You can also unplug the harness from the sam chassis. And check the voltage coming out of the sam chassis...

I didn't have to program the one that used because I took it from another truck it's the same year so it had the same function. What year is your truck
