Those trucks bring back memories, my dad and uncle’s drove old cabovers like that all over canada and US . They hauled to Halifax in winter very cold, listened to many stories!

Here's a suggestion for you - I keep a few decent size magnets around, the powerful rare earth style. When I need to do blind clamping like that, I just put magnets on either side of whatever I need clamped. Doesn't much matter what the material is, as long as it's not too thick.

Great video those hood braces can be a pain hope it works . They did it on a truck at my work the guy just smeared it on looked like hell and they still paid him for it lol 😆. Yours looked a lot neater

Fld coming together whitney I drove a lot of those shiny 290 and 10 speeds and couple 250. I remember a guy from NC. Had 2 only used them in tobacco season his father drove one and his uncle drove one they were tandems 250 10 speeds haul to Richmond VA. Flar beds.

Hopefully that adheres those pieces good enough. Whitney sounds good you’ll have to see what is going on with the wiring. So you can just turn off the key instead of crawling underneath her. Well have a Happy New Year stay safe

To be honest, I know nothing about fiberglass. Never had any experience with it. Saw that it was previously bonded and assumed it would be an easy fix

@@JamesPretty Fiberglass is really easy to use just have a look on you tube how to do it just be careful on how much resin hardener you put in because if you put too much in it goes off too quick and the other downside is getting the fiberglass dust on you it's makes you bloody itchy so cover up well

Looks like it needed to be off the truck and laying flat then uecit and set something heavy on it till it sets up wish I would have known I would ha e come over and hped you that stuff sets up pretty quick if it is the kind they use in body shops

#12's hood should really have been taken off, and worked on, on a set of horses, with the inside facing up. That way you have gravity helping, not hindering. Best wishes all, from the far North.

@@JamesPretty It was at the correct height on the first set that you used, just needed another set a little further than back. Undo with,say the forklift holding it in position and rotate to level, when free. A little bit time consuming but doable by one person. Best wishes.
