This intro story is legendary bro i cant wait to hear and see more, love it. Wow the ceiling supports were on milk crates?! Madness. See the sky through the structure? Oh my im with you its all fun and games until cab weights are modified and the overall load is shifted and the whole thing collapses.. what a description of the setup of the place. Woah, that 3rd floor footage is unreal, especially the warped funnel shaped collapsing floor, swallowing cabs up like quick sand. Such a sad fate for those games, so many trashed and trapped. I saw a Thunder Blade, played that ages ago. M-4 nice man very cool find, ive never seen Video Pinball great pickups. Be well man.

That was some undertaking from everyone involved Alex. Crazy to think of the effort for cabs,that tbh,90% of people wouldn't even know what they were. Fantastic stuff and great that people are trying to save this stuff.

Alex - just wondering what happened to a lot of these games since 2017? I guess many of these old games don't offer much replay value like Space Invaders, Asteroids and the like do... did they get acquired by collectors/museums perhaps?
@TheArcadeArchive
@TheArcadeArchive Жыл бұрын
@@neilloughran4437 hi Neil Yea a lot of the games got restored by collectors and are still owned by them. By due to my circumstances I had to sell mine. I wished I could have kept the Midway M4 because that was a great game and do regret selling that but at the time I had no space.

@@TheArcadeArchive that Jet Rocket game was bonkers... I remember similar games at Blackpool in the 1970s and 80s... there was one which was basically a machine gun on a ledge of a marquee with a big screen showing WW1 biplanes to shoot at.. when you hit them the image would switch to another film of an exploding bi-plane.. a forerunner of the laser disc games... :D. I think there were also driving games that were quite similar... I would think some of these games were even pre 1970s..

Been looking forward to getting time to watch this one. That house was an utter mess, sounds like you guys managed as best as you could in the situation. Love your Space Invaders Deluxe cabinet, the artwork in that one is absolutely fantastic and that bass sound is just wonderful. I quite like the older cabinets as well, they are worth having as they are so unique. That Battlezone looked pretty cool, pity about the Lunar Lander. Not familiar with the M4 game, but that Atari Video Pinball looks so cool, can't wait to see that restored and in all it's glory. The Cambridge museum tour was awesome as well, would love to visit there one day. Some awesome games in there in wonderful condition, I would have that Moon Patrol in a heartbeat. I got some more boards recently, so will am definitely going to have some arcade projects on the go this year.
