Travelogue featuring the delights of Canada.
Scenic shots of Quebec, capital of French Canada. Various shots of the city and of the St Lawrence Seaway. Ships travel along the river, various shots of cargo boats and ferries. Various landmarks and street scenes. Narrator explains the history of Quebec and Ottowa over shots of their sights. People and places featured include Canada's Parliament building, Royal Canadian Guards, tourists, people lunching at outdoor cafes etc. Politics of Canada are brushed over - "Quebec is as French as it ever was" etc.
Pavement artists draws a woman's portrait, dissolve into another artist who is painting a landscape in the countryside. Scenic shots of the lakes and mountains of East Canada. Tourists are seen enjoying the views and the fishing in mountain streams. Woman holds up her catch. Horse riding for pleasure, various shots of holidaymakers enjoying the views in the Laurentian mountains.
Police on horses parade in the park on Mount Royal. Various shots of two glamour girls enjoying the views of Montreal. Panning shot of the city. Skyscrapers of Montreal and its older buildings. Various street scenes in the city. Mini skirted girls go into a restaurant. Busy streets of Montreal, traffic, buildings, etc. St Lawrence Seaway - the Canadian Mounties afloat. Various shots on board a launch.
Expo - various shots of the aerial tramway. Lots of visitors seen walking below. Good shots of buildings and tramway with jaunty music on the soundtrack. Shots of the expo site from the tramway. Night shots of fountains and funfair on the expo site. Shot from the big wheel at night looking down over the site.

There's no Canada like French Canada, it's the best Canada in the land The other Canada is hardly Canada, if you lived here for a day you'd understand

Pronounciation is kaybec not kwaybec. It is no longer french but francophone.

To think my mom was born in december '62 and my dad valentines day in '64. And i was born in 2003 in montreal.

That's interesting my mom was born in 61 and dad in 63 but I'm a 93 liner haha which shows the difference between a developed society and my developing nation

I guess Quebec has that old French feeling, but I’ve always thought of it as much less elegant than France itself.
