The day before this video was recorded, her Mom saw the raunchy original lyrics & said if she wanted to sing the song she would have to re-write the lyrics. She put the finishing touches on the lyrics on the limo ride to the recording studio. So the papers she keeps referring to in the video, are her handwritten lyrics which she is singing for the first time. How many singer/songwriters could do that with only 1 days notice. That's talent! She was 10 in this, but the I Put A Spell On You was recorded when she was 9. It wasn't posted until a year later when she was 10, so many get that confused. Now you have reacted to 2 of her early performances, so you need to see something more recent, like her AGT-Champions performances of Bohemian Rhapsody & Goodbye Yellow Brick Road that were recorded last fall when she was 13. They are both absolutely beautiful. After that, just look over Rusty Shackelford's Live Through the Years playlist he will send you & pick a song you like or one that means something to you. The band KORK which is playing is a respected orchestra from Norway which always plays at the Noble Peace Price concerts in Norway. Angelina has sung with them at 2 of these concerts with them at 10 and 17 years of age. You should really listen to the second of these when they collaborate on Unchained Melody. It is the most beautiful music I have ever heard.

Angelina has 150 covers and counting plus her original song " Shield " . She is a winner of Norway Got Talent 2014 and America Got Talent Golden Buzzer in the Champions 2019 competition.....AJ sings in English, Norwegian and Japanese.

Thank you for reacting to Angelina again. Yeah 10 years old in this video singing together with Kringkastingsorkesteret (KORK) which can be translated into The Norwegian Radio orchestra. I bet you dad will be impressed if you let him listen to the has done some other covers by amy as well. You have so much more to looking forward to if you continue on your reaction journey to her! Angelina has her own style! Love the texture in her voice, the high notes and low notes she sings, her growling throaty sounds. Her grandmother playing jazz greats all her childhood influenced her quite a bit. Her mother was said to want her to sing Twinkle twinkle little star, but Angelina preferred jazz. God blessed her with this voice and the ability to use it in a way that it throws all of you off!! I love it!!!

Firstly, Angelina rewrote the words to make them age appropriate. Secondly, when Angelina Jordan was 6 years old, she was living with her family in the middle east. One day she met a girl who worked as a street vendor there. The girl told Angelina "you have nice shoes" and in response, Angelina gave her shoes to that girl. The little girl also added that she wants to be a doctor, but has some doubts that she couldn’t be. Six year old Angelina asked the girl not to lose hope. At the end of the conversation, the little vendor said to Jordan that, "I’ll pray for you and you must remember me". So, to honor the Street Vendor Girl, Angelina doesn’t wear shoes while performing on stage.

Kevin Neal It is said that in the car on the way to the studio Angelina rewrote the lyrics so they were more fitting for a young person so sing. As one can see she has the hand written lyrics on the podium in front of her. Just a suggestion , it might be a good idea to begin with her first audition on NGT and listen the all four of her performances there. I have a difficult time picking one favorite, if I had to , the one which always brings tears to my eyes because of her emotion is her cover of A MILLION YEARS AGO. Most reactors agree she sang this better than Adele did

Angelina is a musical genius! Soon a living legend. She's only 14 years old! Imagine when she is 20 years old !!!! In fact, she and her family can decide for themselves when they want to release her to all the world's scenes. The entire music industry knows who she is and she has the whole "package".

I hope you continue down the Angelina rabbit hole. She has a unique way of matching her voice to the song she is singing. There are no bad choices when it comes to picking a song of hers to react to. If I had to recommend a strategy, I would look at Rusty Shackleford's Channel for a chronological playlist to work through. Not saying you should react to every song (although that would be fantastic), but you could pick a few from each year to see her progression from age 6 to 14.

Just a fresh & really good reaction 👌 on Angelina's cover/rewritten lyrics and rearranged music (she does every time lyrics don't correspond to her approach of life together with arrangements to be able to express her feelings and also because of good protective parents and grandma); you'll have to fully appreciate her evolution with Rusty Shackleford chronological list and you'll notice that she "Put a spell on you" 😉 as she did with everyone's listening to her covers as well as her own songs! Angelina and her mom rewrote the lyrics of Amy's song. It was not appropriate for a child to sing Amy's song. If you lissen you can hear it. Love Morgan! 🙏😘🌹

Hey Marie. I'm so glad you're going down the Angie rabbit hole. =) Angie was 9 when this was recorded & released a year later. Back to Black Angie rewrote it. Angie was scheduled to record this song on April 22, 2016. Sara her mom wasn’t comfortable with the words/lyrics of the song. So Angie re-wrote them on April 21 to make it age appropriate, edited them on her way to the studio, recorded the song on April 22, and released it on April 23. You can see her glancing at the lyrics while singing. You can see Angie’s musicality & music intelligence at work, they’re off the charts already. Info from @David Touma (& what did your dad think? =) You'll want to check out kzfaq.info he has all of Angie's songs in order. (He has over 10k sub, this is so you’ll know which one) Angie never sings a song the same way twice, you could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions.

Elle a également repris "Valérie", et "Rehab" dont elle a réécrit les paroles (comme pour "Back to black" dont elle a fini d'écrire le texte dans le taxi qui l'amenait au studio) ce qui était apparemment la condition sinequanone pour que sa mère l'autorise à la chanter.

If your dad likes Amy, he is going to love Angelina. Show him this video, and also Valerie, and Rehab (re-written lyrics)... nobody does Amy as well as Angelina. Same with Lana Del Rey.... nobody does her like Angelina either. You said, "I wonder if she's doing other kinds of music"... yes... all of it. This is the most versatile artist I have ever seen. She can go between genres with such ease. If you want to not move ahead too quickly to her current stuff, I recommend using this list as a guide to where you are in her progression. KORK is Norway's National Public Radio Orchestra and this recording is the second take. She rewrote some of the lyrics on the ride to the studio to make them age appropriate. She seems to take on the soul of the person she covers.

Yes it appears she has captivated you. You might as well accept that as fact. As others have suggested go back to the beginning and also search out The many interviews and biographies of her to get an idea of who this incredible young lady is. You will be astounded. I suggest you start with “I Who Have Nothing “ age 6. Then Norway’s Got Talent age 7 & 8. On to “I Put A Spell On You “ at just turning 9. Then “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World “ age 10. Angelina's voice is perfect, but she's got another element that is even rarer. This is more than mere mimicry or imitation of a sound or style. Angelina has the gift of evoking empathy with her voice. She conveys emotions that she can't have yet known, adult pain and sorrow.

When she sings everything is all about herself, her passion, her soul. She already put a spell on me since she was six. No wonder that the great Quincy Jones invited her to sing in his 85.Birthday celebration concert in London, when she was just 12 years old. He said, that Angelina is the greatest talent since Michael Jackson. But you can´t compare this angel to others: she is not from this planet. ;-)

We usually describe Angelina Jordan as a jazz singer who has been influenced by the american black women of jazz of the 1940s to the 1970s. Although it is true that her idols, like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Dinah Washington and Nina Simone, among others, have profundly inspired her, this picture is quite incomplete and lacks a true spiritual element. I would venture to say that Amy Whinehouse is indeed the central soul of these shining lights. Amy is the steady star that guides Angelina to her path to stardom. Angelina Jordan and Amy Whinehouse are kindred spirits.

That was an adorable reaction! Angelina has been blessed with incredible talent, a fantastic work ethic and an encouraging environment in which to develop...naturally. Here is another video from the same time frame, ten years old. As are most of her concerts, it's a charity event. It's on live national tv, so the sound and video are excellent. Take note of her professionalism when the camera comes around from behind her. Gloomy Morning by Billy Holiday. Angelina sang that when she was 7 years old.An extraordinary child even then.Ive been a fan of hers since the beginning. Its amazing how many have just learned about her now. The children of the world will knock out the adults today.

I'm still holding out for you is a masterpiece. Who would believe it is being sung by a 12 year old child. A child who has super intelligence. A musical genius who can remember all the words to over 125 cover songs, plus 3 she wrote. Can sing song after song for over a hour at her outdoor concerts with just a few sips of water in between. She is magnificent. She is a force to be reckoned with in the music business when she gets out of school.

Dear Marie, the reason she sings barefoot is when she was younger she saw a girl with no shoes so she took her own shoes off and gave them to the girl & she said she will keep singing without shoes until every child in the world has shoes.
