Thank you! This was really a fun family adventure and such a beautiful place! Honestly hard to take a bad shot ;) I try to shoot in 4K as much as possible because I like having that quality, and also have the flexibility of cropping in if I downscale to 1080. Of course my storage is always teetering on the edge I’d full, but it’s the price you pay i suppose :) thanks again for your watch and comment. It’s very much appreciated!!!

Appreciate it Glenn! Hope you can get there, just a beautiful place that must be seen. I think we were in OWB #5 if I remember correctly. It had imho the very best view looking right towards the Coral Gardens with Bora Bora in the background. Pretty much the view of a lifetime! Thanks again for stopping by my channel - dan

@@WhatMyLensSees Honestly that was our first viral video. It went pretty big back 2017 which got shared so many times and viewed millions of times on facebook. I honestly trying to figure it out. My usual goal is to be on the top search list on places where we go like let's say Bora Bora. We get views 3-5k per day just because it is number one on the search but it is not like that for all of our videos. Goal also is to increase watch time. Good luck!

@WhatMyLensSees
@WhatMyLensSees 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Doug and niki! The dome is awesome but it’s also a bit of a pain ... keeping it clean on the inside is damn near impossible so I’m going to look for something different that ensures I can clean the glass on the inside easier. But when everything comes together and clean on both inside and outside, it really does produce some amazing results!!

Yo yo! Thank you as always Aj! This was one of my first videos I ever made, so the quality is lacking a tad, but the feeling and excitement is definitely still present for sure ;) I actually re-did this video with some new relaxed music and fixed a couple of bad editing issues from the first version of the video. So I guess you can consider this one a re-master/re-release 😊 on a separate note, I did a scouting trip on Friday up at parshall and had a great morning landing lots of brownies. Gonna email you here soon so we can get a day locked in to head up there. Will be in touch soon. Thanks, dw

What a beautiful island! It almost doesn't look real. You all got such a lovely welcome :) That palm tree island is super cool. It looks like the shape of a heart! Did you have like a dome lens on your gopro to get the in/out water shot at 1:12? What a magical sunset at 1:49! Wow, you saw a shark! Beautiful :D
@WhatMyLensSees
@WhatMyLensSees 4 жыл бұрын
Hey there Ella, thanks for watching! I did use a dome port for the GoPro on those 50/50 shots and it worked well. My only complaint with it is it’s almost impossible to clean the inside glass, so I’m going to look for a different brand that makes cleaning a bit easier. But love the effect it can give especially in a place that has clear calm water and lots of fish below, and some nice tall palms trees above. So much fun! Thanks again for the support and looking forward to see some great content from your upcoming adventures (and finally seeing what islands you’re going to!!!)

Wow, incredible footage. So beautiful. OK, I love the half underwater look with the land in the background, but when I tried it didn't turn out. Is there a trick of the trade for that??? Haha, the sad face at the end. Totally relate. It's been almost a year since we did Bora Bora and I'm dying to return.
@WhatMyLensSees
@WhatMyLensSees 4 жыл бұрын
Yep, you called it. That was total sad face there at the end !!! My son makes for a great subject to follow along and lead thru the story ! Glad you enjoyed it and such a beautiful little corner of our planet!! The trick to those under/over shots is the dome port. If you have that, you can get some great stuff. Without it, the water doesn’t have enough surface area to evenly disperse across the small go pro lens cover. You can check out the one I use on my affiliate link in the description. Only 50 bucks and can really capture some magical stuff!!!

How were the meals at the resort? I'm thinking to bring my young children to here. Contemplating in between this resort and the intercontinental Le moana resort. Food and lagoon quality (emerald shallow water) is the top priority for me. Judging by your video, this resort looks just mindblowing.
@WhatMyLensSees
@WhatMyLensSees 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sun. Thanks very much for watching and for the comment! I haven’t been to Le Moana so I’m just guessing here. But I would prefer a place like Le Taha’a. The food was very good during our stay (although expensive and you’re going to find that at any resort you stay at FP). The lagoon at Le Taha’a is just spectacular. You absolutely feel like you’re living in a postcard. And the coral gardens which are one of the best places to snorkel, are located right at the resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there as did our son who was 9 at the time. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either bora bora or Taha’a. I just liked Taha’a a bit more because it’s not as developed and you still get those beautiful views of bora bora island from le tahaa!

Oh gosh, I miss traveling around South Pacific islands! I've been watching your Aitutaki videos - love them! I've never been to French Polynesia, and I'm so itchy to go there NOW. Are you scuba diver certified, Dan? I love seeing all of those fishes in the shallow water, even with the snorkel. It is a beautiful video, even when it's raining and gray sky. I would refuse to leave, ever! LOL Thank you for sharing!

Oh, you would absolutely love FP! It's stunning in every way possible. Almost seems like a dream at this point because traveling seems like such a distant memory. I'm sure you'll get there soon enough ... and guessing when you do visit, you won't ever want to leave. On another note, people always ask me which one I like more ... Cook Islands or FP, and honestly still can't answer that one. They are both spectacular and special in their own ways and wouldn't hesitate to re-visit either of those two island chains. Thanks as always for the kind words! dan

@@WhatMyLensSees I visited Aitutaki and Rarotonga, as well as Easter Island. And I'm addicted now to South Pacific, and although I don't travel as glamorous as you guys, I'd like to do it someday! FP seems to be a very expensive place to visit - since we are full time travelers now and gave up our full incomes, our mind set is like - a week in FP = a month in Thailand.
