This programme, anything Jennifer Saunders, and Little Britain are the best comedy shows ever.

That's really how they talk in those art galleries.

Hahahaha... brilliant. Victoria Wood and French and Saunders are to blame for 90% of my personality today. Love 'em.

I once spoke on the phone with a fashion auctioneer, and her voice was just as daft as this! I had some ado to keep serious. Takes all sorts!

I wonder if the Prue and Trude characters in Kath and Kim were inspired by this sketch?
@APEABOUTSIMS2 жыл бұрын
Nah they were inspired by “Liberal women” sketches Gina, Jane and Magda did from the 80’s. Prue and Trude sadly sound like any rich mum from Brighton. Slightly emphasised but sadly not by much.

It would appear so.

Depends which came out first. I love french and saunders but prude and trude were excellent.
@blackburdy5261 Жыл бұрын
no, prue and trude are characterisations of a type of women in melbourne, specifically from the suburb toorak.

The American version edited out the couple coming in who wanted to buy the painting. So it actually makes the joke funnier-one person walks in and they lock the door after her and say “It’s like pyiccadilly cyircus in hyere!

About the only time we see the posh English girl is in comedy. Though they can often win reality shows. So they're more popular than we're led to believe 👸
