Your creativity resonates with me ...as I have an applied science background (engineering) and enjoy many crafts including quilting. Very inspiring! The term others give my improvising is ADHD. Apologies for the late reply! I do actually have a book coming out next February, all about designing with negative space, and I do cover Disintegration in it. It'll be called "The Quilter's Negative Space Handbook," and will be published by C&T. Thanks for asking! :)

Love you out of the box concepts. BUT close that rotary blade. You make me nervous when you move material and your hand near the blade.

You're right, I was not practicing Safe Cutting! I'm sorry I made you nervous--the truth is, I was so nervous filming this that there was no room left in my head for rotary blade safety, particularly with an unfamiliar cutter! :)
