Fresh start, no job. Had to get a job with Evri. First impressions.

With my Job leads, leading me nowhere.
I have found myself unemployed in a new town. Needing some sort of income I have managed to get a part time job with Evri. Only 2 days a week but that's all I have free.
This is where I am at.
I have decided that its not worth the hours put in. Things like training are none existent. Being expecting to know all the small things, about how it all works, it does feel like you are on your own.
The Evri app is against you making sure you can't get paid top tier.
I shall continue to do this until I can find something more suited to my skillset.

I gave it a go too. At the exact same depot as yourself 😂. Spend way too much time queing and loading up. Too many people hanging about talking which makes the que take longer. Then you dont finish til daft oclock so not as flexible as they say. I used a 2.2 diesel car and my DPF light came on within the week. Would have probably had to work every hour for 3 weeks to afford to get it fixed. I left because I said my transport is more important than getting paid peanuts. Also my car was minging inside after all the dusty parcels. Another tip would be to carry wet wipes as your hands will be minging. And your phone doesnt even have time to charge as you keep having to unplug it

Haha no way. Did you go through the intensive 2 min training too? As soon as I started seeing some pay I was honestly shocked by how little I was getting. Laughable

Hope you found yourself something a little more profitable for your time mate . I have a full time job but were looking for a Saturday job doing this , don’t think giving up my weekend is worth it , thanks for the vlog

I have gone back to what I do best. Be it a 200mile round trip, for 2 days work. It deffo pays better than doing a couple of days with Evri.

I've worked for evri for a long time and believe me when I say this you can make some really good money. Literally depends on how much you are willing to do in one day. I've done over 240 deliveries a few times and the money was huge. If you still doing it. Keep it up and try take on more and more. It can be very financially good

I honestly don’t know how you do it. I struggled getting half minimum wage. Yes I was new to it but couldn’t make it worth while at all. Hats off to you. Well done.

@@FromLeedsToWest it takes alot off hardwork at first I was doing like 65 a day and told my boss if I buy a van can I take more on. Next thing I know I was doing 140 a day and during Christmas around 200 to 250 a day it's hard work but if you enjoy like I do then it's worth it. Have to be fast tho every second counts during the day lol. It's a good part time job but if you wanna earn a decent living you need to do atleast 110 a day I'd say

@@matthewrobinson2831 You do realize it's 6 points on your license if caught with your hand on your phone how do you 240 deliveries seriously. I done food deliveries Just eat and when the law came into force i quit just as the fuel crisis started that's a rip off job only migrant workers do it and tell you when there is no work you can claim universal credit i felt like slapping them. i had to start using 2 apps deliveroo and a Indian guy in a chippy had a go at me tracked me delivering for using 2 apps he said i will get you sacked i told him this is not a job for British people i don't care.

@@theprogrammerrolandmc3039 I know that's why you keep your phone on it's holder when you are driving 😂 it's hard bloody work. That's how. Basically start early and finish late with lots off running 😂. It' can be done just have to work at a smart pace and make sure you know exactly what house you are going to before you leave the van. Organization and no time wasting is key

@@matthewrobinson2831 That sounds like a accident waiting to happen i seen a courier jump out his van a car drive up courier comes back jumps into van and reverses into the car. I seen alot just eat drivers get caught at night with their phones glowing in their face by police they put the phone on their lap not the dash can't be helped in winter. I want to do courier work but too many companies that will rip people off

With these jobs you have to give it 100%. No messing about being selective with hours and time. I done taxi work and my best day was £504 take. Nearly killed myself and was useless for the next day. The work these days is hopeless. You are basically killing time, your own time.

Yeh. Totally agree. I knocked it on the head as soon as I saw some invoices. Not at an age where wasting time is acceptable.

I know someone that is doing evri with over 500 parcels a day but that guy worked his back side off the rails but he was making crazy money working 15 hour days . I don`t know how these guys do it , rather stick to my lorry job .

Wow. i dont know how its possible. I have fully jacked it in. I couldn't for the life of me make it work. It worked out at £6 an hour for me (on average) ( lower pay bracket for not meeting the impossible criteria) So for half min wage it dosent seem right. My time is more valuble than that. I would keep trucking if i were you.

I work for Evri as a courier and it can be good for some people but very bad for others. It depends on what round you are given and how well your depot is run. Im lucky as I have it good in both those respects but it can be the complete opposite for others and it just isnt worth it.

I can see how that could be the case. I think you’re already a step ahead if you’re fully committed to Evri. A couple of days just don’t cut it.

I found it flexible but I guess it depends on what’s available. I was only doing 2 days a week. I was mainly covering shifts. But time is precious. The actually hourly rate isn’t good enough.

The rates are always a problem but working an utterly freeshift pattern is also really handy as well, thanks for that and all the best in your endeavours.
