Howdy. Would you like to see the oldest photographs ever taken of Vatican City, dating back as early as the 1840s? Today we will browse over two hundred unique photographs of the Vatican, including over one hundred Stereoscope, or Old World 3-D, photographs.
This is the deepest dive I’ve ever seen online showcasing the first photographs of The Vatican before the year 1900, and these images were found throughout an assortment of museums, private collections, forums, and history books, many being shared here on KZfaq for the first time.
For the amount of importance placed upon Vatican City in the context of World History, it is remarkable that we have not had more access to the architectural history which became so quintessential to Rome.
Furthermore, the area Vatican City sits on top of has had a variety of unique structures which once graced these illustrious grounds, including the Vatican Pyramid, The Circus of Nero, and before that many altars dedicated to pagan deities. From the beginning of Rome, Vatican Hill has been associated with the Etruscans and Phrygians, both of whom have had a rather impactful role on the larger European History.
We will cover all this in today’s video, plus much more. The meat and potatoes of this video would be the cornucopia of rare photographs of Vatican City, as well as the historical documents to support them. Enjoy, and leave your thoughts down below!

I visited Rome a few years ago. At some point I looked around me and ask the guide: '-How did they manage to build all of this in only 500 years?' The guide, who was an historian, answered : '-You'd tell me Rome is 10 000 years old I would believe you.' This was before I started doubting the narrative and his answered made sens...

The great pyramid is 18,000 years old....stone henge 10,000....the Basilica must have been built between those 2 dates.....these temple sites are health and wellness devices built by us in a higher state of being to temporally correct a vibration mismatch problem.....you may have heard of a vibration change.....the Earth is and experiment in full physical reality and we had a vibration mismatch....7,000 years ago we divided the soul to work on the problem while experiencing being human.....now is the time to return to the higher state of being...somewhere along the line....

LOVE IT!!! THANK YOU!! Fun Fact - Baltimore, Maryland became an Independent City before Vatican City got that status and while they were having problems over there, "Americans' were writing of "The Jewish Problem." The Jesuits were once banned from the colonies, then suppressed from practicing on FREE People, before reaching the top in my lifetime. They raised the Greek Gods in 1906 after the Jesuit Jubilee and I know the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed, but FSK is still represented at Fort McHenry with a stature of Orpheus.

Many thanks for this presentation, extremely interesting. Personally, I think that the Romans, as we have been taught, were much more recent to our current time, Pompeii speaks volumes to this, but I also think they were not as we have been told either, perhaps even being a worldwide civilisation. Cybele (Sibel) was an hermaphrodite, whose priests, Galli, were self castrated men who dressed as women and they would carry a black rock, which represented Cybele, from place to place. This also ties into certain place names like Gaul, which the Romans called Gallae, very similar to Galli. There is so much to discuss about Cybele, not least the fact that as a Great Mother goddess she is also likened to Rhea, Gaia, Ishtar, Astarte, Isis, Kali (herself kown as a Black Mother), etc, but also that her early names, Matar Kubileya, Kubeleyan, or Qubalas, sound remarkably similar to Kabbalah.

@@ygagarin5572 Ah, now that's interesting because I came across the following in a book recently, which I think you may find interesting..... "It is as certain that America contained anciently, as even now, a crowd of distinct nations and tribes; some of which were quite civilised, perhaps as much as the Spaniards led by Columbus; the others more barbarous, but not entirely savage. There were but few, if any, real savages in America, dwelling in woods without social ties; most of them were wandering tribes of fishermen or hunters. There were formerly in America as now, tribes of all complexions, as elsewhere: yellowish, olive, coppery, tawny, reddened, brown, incarnate or white, and even blackened or negro-like. Tall and dwarfish men from 8 to 4 feet in size, called giants and pygmies - men with various frames, skulls and features, of all the sorts found in the eastern hemisphere. The Americans had long before Columbus, large cities; built of stones, bricks or wood, with walls, ditches, temples, palaces. Some of which were of immense size and population. One of them Otolum near Palenque was 28 miles long, equal to Thebes, Babylon and Kinoj in size and monuments. Nearly all the ancient sciences and useful primitive arts were known in America, as well as commerce and navigation, symbolic and alphabetic writing, nearly all the Asiatic religions, etc. The most civilised nations had even colleges and universities, canals and paved roads, splendid temples and monuments, etc." - An excerpt from The American nations; or, Outlines of their general history, Ancient and Modern. "Vatican" means "worshippers of the serpent (or snake)", that is common knowledge to those of us who research the Jesuits, and the "superior general", or "black pope". Two important books everybody in humanity should read are: "Rulers of Evil" and "Secret History of the Jesuits". I have several other books about the Jesuits that confirm some of the information in those two books whose authors are Christian, so they are likely being honest without an agenda other than exposing the truth. The "Holy Bible" seems to be the story of humanity's existence and future. I see it as a user manual for spiritual entities having a human experience, otherwise how would we know how our Creator wants us to live? The many prophecies fulfilled are God's signature.

Best comment. I love it when people actually do research and read books. There's a culture of ignorance today that revels in it's unenlightened state. I became a Christian when I was 32, and could not get enough information about Christianity. The Catholic church is a great deciever. Telling people that a man can give you forgiveness, when Christ's death was all about us having access to God through Christ. Not an earthly "father." Most Catholics are good people whose faith is unshakable. It's the people over them...all the scandals came as no surprise to me. Putting the power of God in the hands of men...of course people got hurt. Show me a man who, once given great power, doesn't become corrupt. Our nature is fallen. If we don't follow Christ' teachings we're lost. People are screaming about the Ten Commandments. I wish they would get around to the New Testament, in which we meet Jesus, who gave a new Commandment, and the one covers the ten; Love one another. If we do that we won't violate anything. Their hang up on not just archaic teachings, but on pushing our faith onto others is not scripturally sound. This life is about learning from our choices. God gave us free will. He could've created beings that just worship him. But he wants us to love him because we love him, not because we have to.

3:00 OMG! Where did you find *this??? Piranesi's "Veduta della Basilica e Piazza di S Pietro in Vaticano" was created from the vantage point in the dirt and mud, just above the roof elevation of that first building, center, in the causeway leading downhill to the Tiber River. The artist's creation shows the main plaza as being recently cleaned from the dirt and mud which is piled up in front of, and all around him. The image is available online and is so remarkable that I saved it to my desktop years ago. His eye level is dead center of obelisk back toards the palace. The work is dated circa from 1747-1751 Edit: 14:28 Amazing perspective from wher Piranesi was situated father to the right... ...and 23:38!! ---------------- *Those buildings in the grand boulevard to the TIBER are now ALL gone. Comparing the 2 is historic. This was all buried and Piranesi cataloged it. Historic stuff here. Edit: punctuation Edit: 9:00 Your presentation concludes that the obelisk was set in 1586. It looks like they were cleaning for over 200 years. WOW!

This is why we subscribe! 23:30 vantage point is way above the other etching from Piranesi of the plaza and palace coming out of the mud. This one shows drainage grading being cut in both directions from the edge of the plaza, before cleaning out the original causeway (the artist is standing on this hill) to the Tiber River Incredible finds here!

@@leahcim38 in the bible in revelation Jesus says he even knows where Satans seat is. I believe revelation is over, hence the absolute mess of the world, and around 1500 ad it’s time for Satan to be loosed from the pit of hell for a season. I believe all the beautiful cathedrals and buildings around like the Vatican and all over the world were the time of the second coming. The thousand years dark ages, and at the end of that time satan will be loosed for a little season to gather as many souls for the final battle. I believe that the Statue of Liberty is really a statue of lucifer the light bearer, he is liberated from the pit, hence the chain round his leg. The great deception is that we don’t know what time we’re in. I believe Satan resides within the Vatican

There was a book I read that showed a photo of the pope meeting with another species (a female) near a river which is not far where the Palace/Vatican is situated. It seems that not soon after this, the pope rose in stature. Now bare with me and "those who have eyes do see and those who have ears, will hear'.- All religion beliefs system seem to have a worship of the sun/son- The father Akhenaten his son was Tutankhamun- Father-son-and the holy spirit and what if the holy spirit is the female that the Pope meet in the late 18 century? -Tutankhamun reopened the temples, revived the worship of Amun, and moved the capital back to Thebes. He worked to erase the legacy of Akhenaten's monotheistic reforms. - the father worship mono the sun but the son wanted to return to restore Polytheism - After Akhenaten's death, Tutankhamun (originally named Tutankhaten) restored the traditional polytheistic beliefs and practices. He changed his name from Tutankhaten to Tutankhamun, reflecting his devotion to the god Amun. Now comes the story: this group, and the Pope comes up the hill where this palace and takes up residence - the story of Moses coming up the mountain and meets his god- then we have the Vatican elite making rules- we see Moses receiving the ten commandments: Roam men or Romans...Israelite's were roam -ing - the pope wants all those who are lost to come to paradise.

It's amazing what was done without the aid of computers, design programs, powered construction equipment and so on. The pride and skill of the workers shows, if they could only see what they built is still standing today. I tip my hat to the workers and engineers.

To be fair, I believe the earth is flat, but the programming is so good that I still catch myself using the word planet often.

@@ROCK-vl5yw It starts with drawings and then moves into photographs, the earliest photos of the Vatican, as expressed in the title of the video. The title says 200 "images". An image can be a drawing or photo. In the video he even says over 100 of the images are photos and the rest or artist representations. @30:45, he explains this.
