I’ve been going through a really intense depression. I finally decided today to start therapy, I re-arranged my entire room and cleaned up, now I’m in bed I’m reading this self help book while listening to this. I know things will get better *1 month later: It’s only been a month but it feels like forever ago. I was in such a bad place and I am still working on it but I feel so much more content. I wish there were more lo-fi/chill mixes in this style. I love electro swing, but its often very high energy, which I like but sometimes I just want something a little more chill without listening to the same lofi hip-hop mixes you see everywhere.

@@allaion2897 I guess the argument could be made that since it was likely mixed at home, and includes some audio imperfections (either from the recording methods of the source clips, or added in as effect later), then it has Lo-Fi elements. However, I would agree, this is more solidly electro-swing with some hip-hop beats thrown in for rhythm support. Lo-Fi is a weird genre with pretty poorly defined edges; people claim Paul McCartney and the Beach Boys are Lo-Fi, because they recorded in a garage on consumer-grade kit, and recorded to media like reel-to-reel tape that includes scratch and hiss.

Edit: 2021 isn't seeming much better :( Edit: Things are looking up (mostly) Edit: 2022 started with a tornado watch and a flooded basement. This a total L for me tbh. Edit: Russia is being quite silly and Tonga eruption =D Edit: And now America is also being quite silly about Ukraine 35th Edit: Okay so Ukraine is being invaded (I hope they kick Putins ass) and covid is kinda leaving maybe hopefully. Edit: Wow Gas really be Edit: Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is out. It is good. supple. Edit: My hometown is currently in the news for several white students cornering and then choking out a black kid. all the while calling him slurs. I am furious something like this can happen. Why can't people just be not fucking stupid. Edit: Covid is on the decline and life is somewhat returning to normal where I am. Edit: Well life is relatively normal again, I guess the world didn't end after all. Still glad to be listening to this absolute track list of bangers to this day.

I found this video in 2020. It was only 3 months after being posted. Used it as my go-to background audio for study sessions. As the school year wrapped up, I stopped coming back to this mix 9 months after it was posted. Now I'm here, 2023. It's insane it's been 3 years already lmao. I still remember jamming out to this why facepalming at ridiculous math questions, God damn! Sorta upset I lost this video, happy youtube decided to pull some sentimental shi and recommended me out of nowhere. And honestly, it still hits SO hard!! I listened to his every day whilst I studied for my GCSEs. I came back today to say that I think I did well, I have to wait until August to get my results. Wish me luck! Edit: It is now November and I passed all exams, some were a little underwhelming but I excelled in English Literature and Language. :) Now I study Criminology, Sociology and Human Biology at College! I'm currently listening to this mix again as I'm revising for Sociology. Thank you for making this playlist, it's been my study buddy, my partner. :D Edit 2: It's May and I'm revising for my biology btec exams.. isn't that crazy? I know I'm using this as a diary but I hope some people will be able to relate. ProleteR's beats can always let me close my eyes and take myself back, back to the days of high school, with Minecraft on a thinkpad laptop, and Kill la Kill up on my toshiba laptop. Ben and Jerry's between them, on a Sunday night, nothing to worry about but having some Yu-Gi-Oh! matches with my friends before coasting through classes. Such clean beats. You never know 'The Good Old Days' till they're gone

I remember playing this whenever I was traveling home in the city from my school, two hours of the long traffic ride with a bunch of people in a commute, pouring rain, early night fall of the solstice and the cramp space of the seats. Hardest times of my life and this playlist was my only company throughout the entire journey. I cried when I finally played this again in the province, online classes, reminding me of the bitter sweet best memories of my life. Alone but independent in all ways in one. 😌 The playlist held me on.

I used to listen to this 2 years ago when it first came out while playing games with my friends... can barely listen to this without getting memories of those times, so many hours spent laughing and joking about. most of my friends either don't talk to me anymore or they are completely gone, only 1 of them is left.
