@@sherisse10 that’s a shame. I would feel some type of resentment way if I was Goldman Parents. First, Nicole Parents should have stepped in and stopped the relationship from the beginning when a 30 year old married celebrity is hitting on their 18 year old waitress daughter. Plus he was rough from the beginning. That was a clear warning sign from the start. Then…..when he was a stalker and beating up Nicole, you should relocate Nicole or have her move into your house temporarily and really force LAPD to do something about it. Then you dropped glasses and didn’t realize it which led to my son being in danger and getting killed. Lot more could have been done to prevent all this.

It has been confirmed by several sources that it was Nicole's Mother that lost her glasses. Nicole called the restaurant and learned they had been found and turned in. Ron offered to drop them off to her after ending his shift. My spouse's birthday is June 12. We live in West Hollywood. We drove across Sunset to the PCH for a dinner at Geoffrey's in Malibu to celebrate. Returning home the same route, we passed Mezzaluna around 10PM. As news broke the next day, we couldn't believe had been in close proximity to a brutal murder.

Hate to say this, but I’m sure we have all been this close to something happening. Murder/trafficking/rape we could be witnessing it as it starts to happen or be around people who participated in a crime, or were recently victims. This is why we need to be cognizant of who we hang out with.

@@alymetz2020 So true, that "we have all been close to something happening". Also agree that's not at all remarkable. Here in San Francisco about 14 years ago I read about a murder that occurred in an apartment 200' from the base of Lombard Street (the "base" is the intersection of Lombard and Leavenworth, which is at the bottom of the "Crookedest Street," that goes from Hyde Street down to Leavenworth Street). At that corner 50 to 100 tourists would congregate to take pics and shoot video of cars winding down the Crookedest Street. At about 5 PM unbeknownst to the happy tourists busily clicking their cameras for that perfect shot, 200' away a vagrant disguised as a utility worker rang an apartment tenant's door buzzer, the unit on the 6th floor. A woman who had just returned from a business trip buzzed the faux utility worker in. On entering her apartment the "utility worker" robbed the woman then bludgeoning her to death with a crowbar he found on the street.* After that murder whenever riding past the apartment building I always think of the surreal scene that day. During daytime there's happy excited people from around the world crowded around The Crookedest Street, who are totally unaware that a mere 200' away, separated by a few inches of wood, metal, and plaster was a woman being brutally murdered. Side note: I thought about her neighbor tenants too. If I lived there at the time I don't know if I could continue living in an apartment knowing that in the unit abutting mine someone was murdered. *The rest of the story: The 45-year-old vagrant was caught, prosecuted, pleaded guilty to murder, and received a 50 years to life prison sentence.

Interesting you only say Ron would be alive today. I totally agree. If the glasses hadn't been left, Ron would 100% be alive. But I believe Nicole would still be gone, he was going to do what he did to her at one point or another, sooner or later. Whether it would have been that night or not. I know Ron might have provoked the situation by being there on that night, but Oj was already highly dangerous for Nicole and was always going to be the end of her.

I was a teenager living in Beverly Hills at the time of the trial/verdict. My mom wanted to eat at the Mezzaluna for my senior graduation. When the waitress pointed out the table Nicole sat at I rushed to the restroom and threw up everywhere. I did not want to be there. In my eyes there was nothing sensational about the slaughter of two human beings. The case still gnaws at my psyche sometimes and I still shed tears for the viictims. May they both rest in peace.

Most of us taking in the legal proceedings of the first trial, knew OJ was guilty. As the years passed & he was found guilty / culpable in the civil trial and this was followed by his legal troubles around robbery and kidnapping and then various interviews.....many of us "moved on" from the episode but once OJ passed away many of us revisited the case and frankly I was astonished to learn how much evidence was not permitted to be shown at the criminal trial, and to read of various other elements / occurrences...all of which reinforced that there was absolutely no doubt OJ did the murders ......it is a study in spousal abuse, celebrity worship and great examples of various psychopathy such as the clear fact he was a sociopath. So many absorbing facets to the whole case. Apparently OJ's original residence on Brentwood was demolished and I am stunned that the building at the crime scene itself was not bulldozed as well.

I believe this is what happened. OJ was a peeping Tom. He went too the condo a lot to spy on Nicole. He went their that nite to spy again before he flew to Chicago. While he was prowling around the condo Ron shows up. He rings the condo for Nicole to open the gate. As the gate opens Ron approaches the front door wheir OJ steps out of the bushes and confronts him. He goes in a rage and Nichole opens the door. The dog runs out tripping Nicole and she falls.OJ kills Ron first then Nicole. He wasn't planning too kill anyone.Ron sparked the rage. OJ was jealous and mad from the recital earlier. He was now late to get back to his house and ran a red light where a witness saw him.

Normally when the cleaning crew comes in to clean up a crime scene it has to be pristine like nothing happened at all. I'm surprised that it was neglected for that long but the state of things depends on how long the bodies were there. I know of stories were bodies were found inside of houses after some time either from a suicide or another cause of death and sometimes they had to remove and replace parts of the floor board where the body was found.

@@archangelvvvI think there was an attraction between Ron and Nicole, and he may of been hoping by getting the glasses to her that night, he may have been hoping for a hookup. Before their murders, Nicole had been letting Ron drive her ferrari around town and she was spending money on him. They had already been spending some time together, that's why Ron knew where she lived. Her psychopath ex husband, OJ, had mentioned in the book he published called "If I Did It", he said he felt there was something going on between Nicole and Ron. I'm paraphrasing, but in the book OJ said something along the lines: When he saw Ron approach Nicole's house, (the night of their murders), he noticed Nicole's dog had seemed to have been familiar with Ron by the way he was wagging his tail in excitement. OJ said that's what sent him in a rage. That dude was so crazy, he had the audacity to write a taunting book and pretty much confess to the murders knowing he had already been found not guilty and was untouchable at that point. How sad for Ron and Nicole as they both were two vibrant individuals whose lives were cut short so brutal and senselessly.

I imagine the outcome would have been the same regardless. O.J. could've stood up and shouted that he did it before writing the book telling us he did, and those jurors still would have reached the same decision. They were too ignorant to understand the DNA, an early DNA case, and too grossly pro O.J. Payback for Rodney King if nothing else. I'd like to say RIP to O.J. My son THOUGHT I was sleeping with a younger man that lived across the street also! I pointed out that I had never been alone with him, nor had he EVER been in our home behind locked doors, as my son had to admit!! Women CAN have male FRIENDS that ARE ONLY friends! I do believe they were only friends & Ron was returning them to Nicole, as she was on the way to a party he was heading to. A lot of women take soothing baths, light candles, dress lightly, and have a glass of wine at the end of a day, after the children are in bed. Sad that OJ was so insanely jealous that he came to other conclusions. Yet, when he had her & her love, he abused both! Personally I think if he couldn’t have her, no one was going to! This is too common! Why no violent murders before or after in or close to that area? Because OJ DID IT! Period! Read his own confession in “if I DID IT”! He knew too many things only the murderer would’ve known! DUH!

It's not a waste of time to change the address. Sure people who come will still find the house, but it's just a matter of added piece of mind and respect in some ways. Peace of mind, in that, that address "875" will forever be associated and tied to a violent and infamous double murder for which the perp got away with it. Changing that house number in some ways removes some of the stigma associated with the condo at that location. As for changing the address number out of respect, it should be self explanatory.

I would guess it’s the second scenario because that’s what oj said in his book, and I seriously doubt it’s just a hypothetical “IF” Oj said that Ron came upon him as he was attacking Nicole, and started doing some karate moves. Ron was a black belt if I remember correctly. Seriously, wth writes a hypothetical murder when you’ve been accused of the crime? Oj says it’s to “clear” his name; but no innocent accused-murderer would write something like that to “clear his name!” Only a murderer would think that sounds like a normal reason.
