Let’s leave these post off this system. Back on track, it looks like there will be further South Korean infection. The idea is flatten the curve, not end the curve. The total infected is the same - 60 to 80 % before herd immunity, thereafter those infected, and they will likely continue, will have individual cases or clusters, just no epidemics in the communities or nation. Whether it all occurs in a single second wave or multiple waves is yet to be seen. If the individual immunity from the Chinese originated COVID-19 doesn’t last for years or decades, herd immunity may never be reached. That would be unfortunate.

They had experience with MERS in 2015 which was also astounding they managed to control it in less than two-months but MERS wasn't as contagious as COVID-19. Certain Asian countries have really good citizen response compared to the rest of the world. Also the government in S.Korea are handling things more seriously, over here concern is directed towards the economic impact which unfortunately is slowing things down while increasing the risks. The slow pace of how things got handled over here is what created the crazy spike of infection.

Thanks john from Australia. I started watching you when this was just a Chinese issue. Your thoughtful analysis allowed me and my family to properly prepare and navigate this pandemic. We've been lucky that our initial load was relatively small and being an island the govt was able to cordon off the country. That and the fact we were in summer most likely fluked our way into a relatively good situation. Never the less your advice had me teaching the wife and kids good hand hygiene and vitamin D supplements early on so when we did have cases everyone knew how to behave and reacted with the caution necessary. Us humans are pretty optimistic and never really contemplate that these things could happen to us but your presentation and warnings made it quite clear to anyone with rational thought that it was going to happen to us. Best to accept that and act accordingly. Without your message though this would have been a lot harder slog so thank you so much.

The video bit that I watched did not seem to have him say anything overly unreasonable. I doubt he has claimed he is a doctor, and he was again and again referring to the doctors being the people who has to figure out what works. There seem to be 2 main sides to this 1 using something to disinfect the insides of a person, and 2nd was the idea of using light to deal with the virus. Both things where pointed out as being effective on the virus when outside of the body, so if one could just get a similar effect going inside someone, especially I guess around the lungs it would hopefully help people. If I am not mistaken antibiotics would count as disinfectant. So its not as if he is that far off the goalpost. Just because it can not be done do not mean its a ludicrous thing to ask and even look into. If the persons lungs where getting destroyed due to the virus, then perhaps something that although harmful to the body would to some extent get rid of a large amount of the virus. Then it could possibly be a thing that could save a life. At least that is a line of thought someone who is not a medical expert could have. On the topic of light, If it was so that we could create a smaller light source that could send by tube into the lungs and basically kill off the virus that way, well that also at least sounds like it would be helpful. Again, it not being possible is well and good. But I do not think its unreasonable to ask about it. Can you imagine if he suggested that we could try to see if poison could be used to fight some diseases? I would not be surprised if we would get the headline. "Trump wants sick people to poison themselves." "You should not go to your nearest swarm of wasp or play with snakes." Perhaps I just do not have not watched enough of the event, but yea. I am not so sure that Trump was really being unreasonable there. Its not as if he is saying that it would work at least from what I remember. "You should look into what works" or something like that I believe it was. __________________________________________________________ There is also another side to it. To give a bit of hope. Our people are basically looking into stuff, and trying to find something that will work against the virus. People are getting frustrated with the whole thing and want things to get back to normal so they do not have to worry about their future. Its probably helpful if they at least feel like something is happening.

Caim Pact When he talked about disinfectant killing virus on the hands and then proceeded to talk about injecting disinfectant into the body, that will not sound unreasonable to many of his supporters, and inevitably someone will attempt this and get severely sick or die, just like they did with the fish tank cleaner. When his supporters chant “Fire Fauci” and say other not so nice things about doctors, nurses, scientists, and anyone with any sort of expertise or intellect, of course they will value what Trump says more.

Re: the breeze blowing through supermarket.... I was working in a large farm and garden store, with automatic doors. We turned off the auto doors because of the rush of air each time they opened/closed, so we just had them stay open about 3 ft, also trying to slow the flow of panicking customers. As well, in the greenhouse part of the store there were big 3 ft fans, enough to blow your hair around. Truthfully, we were scared of having to talk to people. The doors alone were enough that we had to put weights on the stacks of flyers so they wouldn't blow around. So, exhaust fans yes, but not just air blowing in and around. I took my one kidney (living donor) and went home to sit it out. Just google what colour Begonia you want or how to grow cucumbers.....

Today I was tested in NY State for the second time. My colleague, a Nurse Practioner, tested positive for COVID19 on 4/22. Thus my whole team was mandated to drive to the tents on the grounds of the hospital and get another nasopharyngeal swab for the novel SARS COV2. Instead of waiting 13 days for a result like last time (tested 3/20, result 4/2), I expect to get the result sometime tomorrow. So we are finally doing contact testing and tracing! Great way to wind up a long week of caring for extremely ill COVID19 patients. One lady died last night and another has been on 100% oxygen proned for many days. Thank you Dr Campbell for all your insightful and detailed updates. It has helped us get through a very difficult time here in the US.

Leadership is not based on merit, it is based on ‘’’money’’’ so the incompetent and retarded will always rise to the top. When God hands out talent at the beginning of someone’s life, and he has absolutely nothing to give a person in terms of ‘worth’; instead he gives them ‘’’money’’’. If you are expecting that these people are going to suddenly become worthwhile or beneficial to society, it might be you that we need to give a IQ test and measure your own intelligence. When you are sentient, you don’t need someone to ‘program you’ or ‘tell you what to do’.
@MrCheckitout123

Intelligent, as oppose to not doing anything. frankly leaders act. if you wait for all the facts you burned thru your time to react, time get resources, ability to react. in my world, say a brush fire (which you Aussies should be far to familiar with); if stand there and wonder well who started this fire, what my overhead gonna be, how many lunches we need. you loose the fire and it goes big. In this case NYC 15k dead in 7 weeks. that is with massive isolation! repeat and repeat slowly "with massive isolation". my US state is 444 cases 14 dead, in 6 weeks with massive isolation. if we did nothing, 2x 5x 10x. we will never know. everyone thinks it is fake until they have machine breathing for them.

We had 1, a 68 year old lady who has since recovered. But we do have several cases in surrounding counties. I am a school employee and my wife is a nurse so we are both working. We have been taking Vitamin E (2 times for me), and C. We have our son's also taking both vitamins. Really thank you for your advice and your good hard data. I love watching these videos every day! It gets me going on a long internet search for various things I think of, but we're supposed to stay at home so it's a great time for that. It's nearly 100 F outside right now anyway so it wouldn't be a good day to go out even without the pandemic. I can see why this virus spreads so well. Of course, part of it is being contagious before you feel sick and the asymptomatic cases, but I had the experience of only being at little sick at first. I was so happy because I thought I was having one of the many mild cases despite the comorbidities that I have. I felt that way all the way through day nine, although I did get a little scared at the beginning because I got a fever and I rarely ever get those, even when I am extremely sick (almost died of a strep infection because it didn't come back positive on the rapid strep rest but finally did on the culture). On day ten, I just dropped off a cliff. My entire body was swollen, it was much harder to breathe, and I had pain in my entire body that was a nine out of ten (with ten being the highest imaginable pain and I do always imagine that there must be something more painful than what I am experiencing at any given time). I could tell I had a really full bladder but I could barely get any pee to come out. I did everything I could to get the inflammation down and I slowly got better. In all honestly, I probably should have gone to the hospital. The point is that this doesn't seem bad until you wake up one day and feel like you're going to die that day and I don't think it would be unrealistic for a person to actually die that day if they were unable to get the inflammation down or if they didn't go to the hospital.
