Aren't, a lot of us I'm Chemehuvi and I only know a few words. My language is very hard to learn, my grandmother was full blooded , Chemehuvi, and spoke her language and three others and Spanish like if she were, of there tribe's. And she was not, Mexican but spoke it very well. I wanted to learn, tho I promised myself I would learn to speak like her , I didn't language and it was Spanish, that was easy, I was 11 Years old. I wish I could have learned at least my language. With pride and with all my heart ❤ 💙 both

According to wiki the tribe got down to 355 souls and not there's thousands of souls.do any of the chemehuvi still speak the language of the fathers? In the apache people most just speak english and some spanish.i used to go to the Lakotas to do church work and i found that a lot of the younger people are learning lakota. Personally i love the Indian people.we were almost destroyed but some tribes are making a comeback.i am of mixed blood but the blood that is Indian is so important to me.my grandma was 50/50. Pow Wows are typically open to the public for all to attend as spectators. The Pow Wow in this video is a huge annual event in Albuquerque, NM and attracts people from all around the world. Some Pow Wows even have times where anyone from the audience can come in and join for a social dance. When in doubt ask a committee member or organizer.

As a white man I took part many, many times at powwows in Canada, nobody cared. I loved to dance in the intertribal dances,one of my greatest moments in life. So, its very easy to take part at an indigenous powwow. Do it!!
