Man, after 2 years, it’s good to see this mod again, within an 3 hour update.

Its good to see the Fnf community is still thriving 2 years later

Can we all just appreciate Community taking 3 hours to make us happy?

Now this is straight up incredible! I absolutely love everything about this update, even BF being included! His design here looks so cool and adorable, same with GF too!

I don't know anything about Hololive, but the fact that this has over 3 hours worth of content (and sans) is amazing, great job to the whole team for not going the quantity over quality route and choosing both

Here's a list of notes and references for people not familiar to the Hololive Productions (HoloPro) agency. If you think I missed something, you can also refer to my very long comment also about references on CommunityGame's previous coverage of HoloFunk years ago, before commenting, just to avoid redundancy. NOTE: All full names mentioned will be written in Western order (First name then Family name), as the official ordering of names are usually in Japanese order but, confusingly, some members have their names officially arranged in the Western order. Said confusing arrangement applies to all branches of HoloPro, meaning some Japanese, Indonesian and English members have the Western order while the rest are in Japanese order. 2:38 For the dialogues, the story had been altered due to conflicts with the writer of 5.0's lore, since it basically got of the rails, which is hard when tackling and adapting a sensitive topic of the real Aloe Mano's situation leading to her untimely graduation (retirement) a few weeks after her debut in Hololive, into a fictional story. The most obvious alteration was the removal of Daddy Dearest's involvement to the HoloFunk's story was changed into hinting that Sora Tokino (first member of Hololive) had been missing after her tour. 5:07 "Super hyper ultra ultimate" refers to one of Nene's inside jokes to her community, which is having an absurdly long "name". 7:09 Sora had been known to be a very humble and caring member of Hololive. So much so that it became a problem as most of her juniors are too intimidated by her status, and only a few managed to become close friends with her. However, the past few years, a lot of effort on both sides were taken to be closer that newer members don't feel too shy in interacting with her. 19:40 In the previous update, the painting in the background was HoloFunk's version of Girlfriend and Towa Tokoyami. However, as the story was now revised, it is now showing members of Hololive Generation 1. 25:18 "Nacho-mama" refers to Amashiro Natsuki, who is an illustrator who is also known as "Nachoneko". She is Gura Gawr's official artist and illustrator. For Vtubers, an illustrator is their "Mama" regardless of gender, though some Vtubers with male illustrators tend to refer to them as "Papa". The people who made their Live2D models' rigging were refered to as mostly "Papa" but, unlike illustrators, they don't usually get included in the "family" due to the frequency of switching rigging artists, meanwhile illustrators are very vital to a Vtuber's identity. 28:58 The first music cover done by the first Hololive English group is a cover of "Country Roads". -One of Amelia Watson's infamous jokes is going after people's mothers to "ground pound" them. It started during her Super Mario Odyssey playthrough as a quick and random "your mom" joke after reading the tutorial for Mario's Ground Pound move. 35:32 In the previous versions, Botan's tracks were all remixes of Pico's songs since Botan didn't have any original songs when the earlier versions were made. In 5.0.0, her first and only song at the time, "Lioness Pride", composed by Camellia, was added. Ever since that version, she already had a couple of original songs released. 1:05:45 "Dr. Oopsie" is a parody of Dr. Pepper but as a way for the members to not say the brand name on stream since they are discouraged from saying it directly. There were cases long before they're discouraged where a member would say the brand name only for said product's store page crash from the flood of users, or how the product suddenly gets out of stock in mere seconds after mention. 1:17:50 Fun fact: Before this update, there was a spin-off mod of HoloFunk focused Ina'nis Ninomae, nicknamed as Ina, called "Non-Canon Ina Week", which is where her design her is seemingly based from. 1:18:10 Ina's official character lore is that she was once a regular human that picked up a strange book, which led to her gaining tentacles and ended up serving as the priestess for a Lovecraftian-entity known as the "Ancient Ones". 1:18:20 "Tako" means octopus in Japanese, but the usage here is different. Ina's fanbase is called "Takodachi", which is a portmanteau of "tako" and "tomodachi", which means friend in Japanese, making the name mean something like "friend octopus". It is shortened to just refering them as "Takos". Their visual representation is a blob-like creature that has similar ear flaps as Ina, which she designed herself. One can be seen in the menu that represents the week instead of the number. 1:18:55 "Myth" is the name of the first generation of Hololive English members. It's fully refered to as "Hololive Myth" or "HoloMyth" for short, which is Ina is a part of. It also refers to the main theme of the group, being mythological creatures. There are two other themed groups in Hololive English, being "Hope", which has IRyS who is the embodiment of Hope and "Council", which is a council of a group of members which are embodiments of several concepts such as Space, Nature, Time, Chaos and Civilization. 1:24:47 If her name being listed and hearing someone with a similar voice singing normal words at the end weren't clear enough, "Violet" is Ina's (first) original song. 1:28:07 Week 6's intital opponent is Roberu Yukoku, who is a member of 2nd generation of Holostars (an all-male branch of Hololive Productions compared to Hololive's all-female talents), SunTempo. The name of the branch is stylized as in full caps, as in HOLOSTARS, which the opposite of Hololive's small caps, which is "hololive". 1:29:10 The title of Roberu's track in the game, "Son", is based on one of his, being "Winning Son", which was the result of him misunderstanding an English comment on his chat, which is just the "Are you winning son?" meme, where he thought of they're refering to him as "Winning Son". It also became a prominent joke in the community, in a slightly comically sarcastic manner, where girls from other Vtuber agencies such as Mea Kagura, the girls of Animare who are fond of teasing him. 1:29:11 I am not sure for some of the characters in the background, but the ones I do know, and remember currently, are Choco Yuzuki (leftmost, Holo Gen 2) and Sana Tsukumo (left of Nene, former HoloEN Council). 1:29:29 The one who interupts Roberu is Okayu Nekomata, a member of Hololive GAMERS, a former sub-branch of Hololive that used to be focused only gaming livestreams before being turned into another official generation of Hololive talents when gaming streams became frequent with every member, rendering the branch's original purpose obselete. 1:29:30 "Mogu Mogu" is a Japanese onomatopeia for chewing without opening the mouth. Okayu's signature greeting is "Mogu Mogu Okayu", which also reflects her fondness of eating a lot. That's why she's eating your health bar. 1:30:35 "Yummy!" is a remix of "Mogu Mogu Yummy", Okayu's first original song. 1:30:36 Fun fact: Prior to this update, there's a separate Hololive-themed FNF mod called "VS Okayu", which is a simple mod where "Mogu Mogu Yummy" is played. 1:38:01 The HoloFunk team collaborated with the Doki Doki Takeover Plus team which had unlockable skins of Aloe and Nene. 1:38:48 Korone's association with chainsaws stems from her streams where she is overjoyed over chainsaws, especially during her DOOM streams. Another factor is her fondness over fictional gore in movies, games, etc. Speaking of DOOM, she did get a short-lived easter egg in DOOM Eternal. 1:42:00 Also, additional note, she also mentioned that she occassionally practice boxing IRL. She's a very physically fit person while being an avid gamer. 1:42:20 Okayu and Korone are pretty much an almost inseperable duo, to the point that Korone got into Hololive just by simply being recommended by Okayu and got immediately accepted. 1:43:07 The background behind Coco is a Hololive background that used to be used in special streams. It became frequently used by Coco Kiryu as her background for her news streams called "AsaCoco", which also had her "selling" non-existent drugs that are vouched by her fellow members to be highly addictive. 1:59:04 Originally, HoloFunk's Boyfriend is an angel named Kenji Tensei, and is a close cousin of the Hololive member, Kanata Amane, and is inspired to cosplay as Boyfriend from the original FNF game. However, due to the scrapping of the original 5.0.0 lore, it was just changed to simply an unlockable skin without any lore. Same goes for the Girlfriend counterpart, who was refered as Crystal or Hana Kurayami, and is now just Girlfriend with different clothes. 1:59:05 Calli's songs here were the ones that are on Week 1 on 5.0.0. Said songs were replaced with new ones here on 6.0.0 and the old ones are now unlockables instead. 2:03:38 The visuals on this part are based around the original song's music video. Also, the billboard shows "Usada Constructions", or "Usada Kensetsu" in Japanese, which is Pekora Usada's "construction company" in the Hololive Minecraft server. Initially started as just her but grew in numbers after she started to reach out to Moona Hoshinova of Hololive Indonesia after accidentally extorting her through broken English, which slowly snowballed into her being confident to open up and be less shy to other people. Same goes for Moona. 2:23:48 "Defeat" is a cover of a track of the same name made by Rareblin for the "VS. Imposter" mod. Also, Tthe dead Hololive-themed crewmates in the background were actual outfits that was in the official Hololive collaboration Cosmicube in Among Us, which was available for a limited time. 2:33:28 The designs here were the aforementioned Kenji and Crystal/Hana.

Definitely one of the most fun Updates in a while, And very VERY impressive stuff added in at that, I've never seen a Character show actual "Damage" when their low HP before, Sans and Aloe are the 2 I noticed that were like that. Then there's the unique aspect around Korone's final punch she uses on you, It can't kill you if you're full HP, And has 2 unique Animations to it with Aloe/Fubuki getting WRECKED and or them dodging successfully, Definitely never seen anything like that before in any Mod prior to this. Ya gotta give credit where credit is due Community o/ Just for these reasons alone this Mod stands at the top of some of the best Mods out there, And it already was pretty high for me prior to this, With this Update I'd put it in my Top 10 honestly though! Also, Ina's Week was the best thing ever, I loved all 3 of her Songs and how happy she was at all times, One of the very few enemies who just smiles when you're beating them in any Mod out there, She's so heartwarming~ :3 Violet is my favorite song of the 3 though!

I never expect anything in a FNF mod to make me feel emotional or want to cry... ...but then End of a Life hit me like a freight train covered in spikes

It finally became its own fan game. Idk if this still counts as a FNF mod cause it's made in unity and all.
