This is by far the best Meditation practice I have come across. I've often found applying this technique in everyday life can be achieved whether you're at work, in a crowded shopping center, or simply out for a walk. A few years ago I would notice my shoulders became tense in different situations, and always when life seemed to be challenging in certain ways, the first thing I started to do was relaxing my shoulders, this is turn would get me questioning why they had become tense in the first place, this would always lead me to the same result, and it was the result of how my mind was feeling in any given moment. It could be because somebody had said something I didn't like, or it could be I was stressed with work/family/home, but whatever the problem the shoulders were the first thing to become tense in a physical way. After I recognised this I would relax them, and as soon as I did this my mind would follow, then I would become aware of the weight on my feat with every footstep, and in turn everything becomes much lighter. Sometimes when I walk now it feels like I'm floating! It is a true saying, 'take the weight off your shoulders' and I never knew what it exactly meant. But until you try it yourself you wont know what I'm on about either! 😬 Worrying and stressing about anything will have absolutely no impact on the outcome, all it did for me was make everything worse, but the moment I started connecting the dots and feeling/exploring this negative energy, was the moment I could feel my energy levels change into positive areas.
