first episode: Paul: how does one play magic? this episode: Paul: *is at pro tour*

I feel like the Paul's intro card is particulary on point for this episode; 4 colorless mana for a 5/3 Paul Sanders artifact creature. Paul Sanders gets -1/-0 for each other human you controll. Flavor text: "We're helping!"

Cam's booster ghillie suit is the best.

"Mountian, Molten Vortex, go!" I immediatly started laughing, I knew exactly what was going to happen, hilarious!

I love how Paul goes from being the strongest player in the group that actually makes it to a pro tour, to being the guy that takes 285 card 5 color good stuff to FNM

The funny thing about Marshall’s “I’ve never even met you before” Is that in Friday Nights GP Vancouver, we see James talk to Marshall casually about a draft and they draft!

I think Cameron has a new invention: Audacity Camouflage. No-one can believe anyone would be insane enough to dress in a suit of magic booster pack wrappers and so refuse to admit to themselves what their eyes just saw.

It feels like it's been awhile since the last LRR Friday Nights episode... I used to know you guys, man.

That ghillie suit is amazing

Every time I watch this episode one thing goes through my head. "Destructive Revelry. Put Destructive Revelry in your sideboard." And this was last year when Theros block was standard legal.

What happened to Cam? He was there the first 10 minutes or so, It's like he disappeared all of a sudden.

Loved the stats ticker at the end. I'm glad Durdle Turtle won some matches.

This is the most hilarious episode of Friday Nights ever. That Ghille suit was too funny.

I think this is probably one of my favorite Friday Nights Episodes, and it definitely holds up to the newer ones. From the appearance of Jer, to Paul's Oh No when Cam combos off, James throwing the single booster at Paul to test for draft, the Alex Mono-Red callback, Cam's ghillie suit shedding booster wrappers when he first walks up in it... And the pacing and running gag. Just a great Friday Nights.

I imagine that Ian and Raymond don't get much recognition for Friday night's because they don't appear, so I just wanted to thank them for their work!

I love how they picked up the gag from a previous episode where Alex told them a deck can splash a color and still be a mono deck. Love it so much...

Anyone else find it funny how Destructive Revelry destroys James's Grindclock, Cam's Citadel Seige, and Graham's Molten Vortex, yet it wasn't in Paul's sideboard?

Awesome episode! Plus I actually played against a friend on Wednesday who had Kathleen's deck and milled me for 50 in game 1, it was awesome!

The crazy part is that the wacky decks here are still somehow less wacky then the decks that were actually played

Does this mean that (according to LoadingReadyRun/Wizards canon) Paul beat Hall-Of-Famer Luis Scott-Vargas in the mirror? That's awesome! Also, GREAT VIDEO! Keep Friday Nights going forever (if not longer!)

Cam trying to hide by curling up and putting his hood down was honestly one of the cutest things I've seen on this show

Love the show, this show actually has gotten me back into playing MTG. And as I learn more of the way the MTG game evolved and I got back to rewatch the episodes I am starting to get some of the jokes like Bear Force One and always drawing into Gas. LOL So LRR thank you for getting me back into MTG. I am getting some cards from a friend then I plan on heading to Battle for Zendikar Prerelease.

Cam was amazing this was hilarious and one of my favorites they have ever done also loved the subtleties with the standings on the bottom of the screen.

I kind of was expecting paul to be running u/r thopters, I mean, it's a deck based on weaponized science!

Is it just me, or are the cards of the characters in the intro sequence changing every time? I still laughed myself to death at the "Graham Stark can't even." rules text from a few episodes back though.

Paul has come a long way since the first episodes of Friday Nights. He went from being the new guy who was told how to play Magic by everyone else to a rising pro player who is told how to play Magic by everyone else.

The scrolling text at the bottom of the screen at about 15:45 is hilarious. Jace Beleren, Jim Bond, Wandering Towershell? Awesome.

That was basically perfect. I had a weirdly high amount of expectation for a pro tour episode, and this delivered!

I was all like...wheres my LRR....then..BAM! Get OUTTA MY HEAD!....actually..stay in there...you can NEVER LEAVE...moo who hahahaha!

I'm really hoping that making the Ghillie Suit is part of the next Loading Time digest. I'm actually really curious about how it was made.

8:43 I'm rewatching these and just noticed, Graham goes to 4 cards, plays mountain, molten turn 1, then turn 2 playes mountain and pitches 2. That's 5 cards, the amount he should have to play, but yet he is still holding cards for his hand afterwards, and then has 2 cards in hand with the draw on the next turn.

This was awesome. Friday nights never gets old...

It only took me now to realize that when Kathleen was talking about the goblin deck it was right in front of paul

I'm confused by the continuity of this. So are Jer and Tally not married in FN continuity since there was no mention of her and why doesn't Marshall recognize James now even though they seemed to know each other in the GP video that lead to Paul getting to the PT.

Against the Turbofog and the Molten Vortex testing, removing the Windswepts, Spirit and Plains to make room for Orbs of Warding would have made better side tech. It also provides a decent side into the RDW match.

I've been rewatching FN during the quarantine and I have to say, please please PLEASE give us a 10 hour cut of "Graham mulligans". Since the new mulligan would keep giving him 7 cards every time, you could keep using the 7 card "dealing out" part but keep the facial expressions every time. I lack the means to do this myself, but I want to put the idea out there and hope the universe rewards me
