I wondered at the beginning why your Saulosi looks so big until you said they were in a 40g haha. You have some very nice fish there, have you still got them or moved onto something else?

Are your Saulosi actually born yellow or so they turn yellow in time? Mine look just like yours do and I have 3 batches of fry ranging from 2 1/2 months old to as young as 2 weeks old. My oldest fry have some yellow but not much while my younger batches still don’t have any… Thank you, David

I’ve seen them in a 29 but recommended min is 55. You might be able to get away with a 40 Breeder if you only have a few and great filter

It’s crushed coral, helps keep the ph up

Do they chew up the jungle val much or do you just keep it trimmed that low?

I don’t think so. For some reason I’m this tank, the Val shoots runners everywhere but doesn’t grow as tall as my regular planted tanks. Probably because I don’t fertilize this tank very often
