I know this may be hard to believe but in 1979 Naples Florida ( port royal inlet green dolphin lane) my four yr old fell off a boat and though he could swim just fine and didn’t panico four dolphins raised him up with their noses and placed him back near the boat. He dove in very slowly, gently nibbled (could bite much harder) then dove back to you upside down. Looks like the dolphin wanted to be your buddy and play (or mate 😅).

Dolphin literally held his mouth open for a second to give the guy a chance to pull his hand back, then gently clamped down and held on much like a dog would. Obviously no pain from the gentleman, not even any indentations on the skin. What a lovely creature.

Dolphins get very interested and very curious in things especially triple that as a baby like this cutie they know there instinct fighting routines and this was not one dolphins are very gentle with objects they’ve never held before a dolphins mouth is like our hands he just wanted to feel what his hand felt like that’s all if he came in faster and whipped around that would be trying to drag him down but if he ever did that it would be because he thought the hand was prey

Awesome Experience

There was a girl in an experience with dolphins and a dolphin stopped listening to cues and the girl was far away from trainers and it bite her leg really hard and she had bad bruising. They told her this had happened before and before her mum saw her they said oh can u fill this out - it was a paper saying they wouldn't sue. She made a video on it. They can be friendly but when in zoos etc they can be angry or annoyed or even upset.

That dolphin could have easily bitten the guys hand right off in one bite if it had wanted. The dolphin understood their own strength and how weak and fragile humans are. It shows how intelligent they are. A shark of the same size would have just bit the guys hand off.

I went swimming with dolphins and the fist thing they tell is is "Keep your hand close to your body." I think sometimes they confuse pur hand s with fishes, idk.
