It’s funny. The thing is completely friendly with the kids even when they are freaking themselves. He just wants those pets and scratches. Well, a few yum yums wouldn’t hurt, lol. Too cute.

@@cooperpriest3922 It's part of a larger subset of diseases known as TSE: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmissible_spongiform_encephalopathy It's essentially brain rot. From what I've seen there's no cure, barely any treatment, and it's one of the worst ways to go.

I don't know where they are located but if this is near an area with a hunting season, it's not a good idea to teach them that humans are friendly. He needs to know to run if he sees hunters. But I have to admit I would be tempted to feed him too. Maybe give him a bit of salt.

The buck offered you and your young children the magical beauty of being able to pet a wild animal, and have a nice KZfaq hit, yet you offer him nothing in return to help him survive a difficult time, not even a curled up carrot abandoned in the fridge.....

James Noll in our area he would have antlers if he was older. We usually call them a button buck. You could see the nubs but no real antlers yet.

I would put front line or advantage on him to kill any tics or fleas , keep a bucket of uncooked corn outside for him , and bucket of water , if I had a garage, make a bed out of hay , and keep him safe until hunting season is over. The one friendly deer I was blessed to meet was a young buck that the community feeds. No one hunts , but the risk of getting hit by a speeding car exists .

animals have a very strong sense to define what is a potential threat what is not . i dont think the deer is friendly , i think the deer is just a deer . but i think the neighborhood , especially these people are very decent and peaceful human beings that the deer did not had the need to be cautious .. that is one neighborhood that i would like to live . i wish the best for these people .

Reminds me of being a kid camping with my family. The state forest campground was very rustic and there was a deer which would come into the camp and walk around. All the kids (and adults I'm sure) that it was really cool.

@@cpsclan2447 I think that buck is already too friendly to be in the wild. He’s more better off to be in a sanctuary because he already lost his sense to be in the wild. He’ll get killed by poachers or hunters because he sees humans as food givers now
