Kaya is sealebrating her 9th birthday! From butterflies to penguins, she's always curious about new friends.

I love Kaya ❤ You can tell that the seals at the Oregon Zoo are well-cared for, they are always displaying a variety of behaviors and are very active!! Love these guys.

I love the enrichment you guys do for your animals. Always interesting to see animals that would never encounter each other in the wild trying to figure out what the heck they're looking at. =)

I'm probably wrong, but I don't believe that kind of seal eats penguins, or at least doesn't go looking for them.

@@Fakan You're not wrong. Those are Harbor Seals, which are endemic to the northern hemisphere and feed mostly on fish. The only seal that regularly feeds on penguins, at least as far as I'm aware, is the Leopard Seal that lives on the Antarctic coast.
