I would love that pen. Even if it's just a pen with a clock. It can have deeper meaning.. The pen is a reminder that joey supports his girl's career and time will always remind her to finish things on time and that time is gold and should be valued as how someone values their work..

Rewatching the show I noticed that the Joey in the earlier seasons is a lot different from later seasons Joey.. like the episode with his parents in the first season he said he always thought he would settle down with someone or after Carol and Susan’s wedding they all thought Joey would get married before Chandler...
