I even captured what Eggman did with tails, tails besides being Sonic's best friend was also a stone in Eggman's shoe so he decided to eliminate the bad guys and end up shaking Sonic for him not being able to fight and be able to beat Sonic, it's a cowardly strategy and very horrible but a good idea

I'm late, but there are actually 3 different endings. 1: normal ending, (beat the game normally without exploring.) 2: Savior ending (get the dark emerald and defeat eggman) 3: Pathtic* Ending (Get the dark emerald and lose against eggman. The asterisk is there because I dont know what it's exactly called.)
