The Pips had some moves, and could sing. It was a group effort. You think the music is on tape, and then later you see the good-sized band. If a person saw that live in a club, it would absolutely fantastic entertainment.

If anyone has not heard the studio version I highly recommend you do. This live performance is fine but the studio version has a lot more punch and strong instrumentation coming through.

Harmony, wouldn't that be nice? People don't know what that is. You see it right on KZfaq. People jumping on you if you don't say and spell things correctly. They feel the need to misconstue what you say. They just feel the need to embarrass people. If I don't have anything to say, I don't say it. I would be the last person to correct someone... as long as their heart is in the right place. For me... it's more important to be kind than to be right. Happy Monday... thank you for sharing! 💖

@StephanieJeanne My son is my biggest supporter when it comes to that. He says it's a shame people have nothing better to do than to scrutinize other people's comments. I really like the dancers from that era. They added some humor to it all. Nowadays it seems like most singers spend way too much time with the stage theatrics instead of concentrating on the actual singing. You know who I’m talking about. But if you want an entertaining time watch “Sade” live - I’ve seen her actually twice in 2001 and 2011 - or Amy Winehouse. Amy’s dancers were awesome.

Am I wrong, or does Gladys look confused at the beginning, like she didn't know the Pips had worked out a dance routine? Like she's saying, "Oh, you guys worked some shit out? My bad! I missed rehearsal!"
