A beautiful short-film with full 4k quality drone and camera shots made during a 5-day trekking trip through one of Europe's last true wildernesses: Sarek National Park, Sweden.
Friluftsliv roughly translates into "outdoor living", and is portrayed as a way of life in Scandinavia. In Sarek National Park it was our way of life as we engaged in a beautiful multi-day hike through the park.

Prachtige video! Ik ben zelf in de herfst van 2019 in de regio rond Abisko en Nikkaluokta geweest. Werkelijk prachtig, Zweeds Lapland. Sarek staat hoog op mijn wensenlijst voor een meerdaagse hike. Heb je veel last gehad van insecten in augustus? En heb je eventueel gpx files van jullie tocht die je zou willen delen? Ik hoor het graag! :)

Ha Rick, thanks voor je reactie! Zeker een prachtgebied, kan Sarek je dan ook absoluut aanraden. Insecten hebben we eigenlijk helemaal geen last van gehad, had voor een groot deel ook met het weer te maken: Harde wind, kou en regen houden de insecten wat weg... GPX files heb ik zeker, ik kan ze je toesturen. Je kan me een mail met je gegevens sturen op Dutchtrailrunning@gmail.com, dan reageer ik daar op.

We are planning to go next year. I have a question: where did you start and where did you end the trail? What's the easiest way to get there and back to Stockholm? Maybe the Norwegian airport option will be better?

Hi Robert, Cool you're planning to head there next year! We started at Saltoluokta (there is a ferry from the north side of the lake to here) and ended at Anonjalmme (the ferry takes you to Ritsem). We were here with our car so did not come from Stockholm with public transport. Enjoy preparing and hiking here!

Nice video, but: Drones are NOT ALLOWED in Sarek! It is sooo disrespectful not following the rules and laws if you care for wildlife. And it's also very provoking to all drone people out there, including myself, who would love to fly there if it had been allowed. You are breaking the law.

Ah, I legit did not know that. We looked it up beforehand naturally and found a 3-page document regarding the rules in Laponia World Heritage Site, where nothing was mentioned regarding drones, only aircrafts. We ofcourse care very much for the nature and wildlife, otherwise we wouldn't embark here! I do however find it strange that drone-flying is not allowed, but flying helicopters over the park at low altitude and landing there even is allowed... Edit: Anyway, thank you for your reply!

@@dutchtrailrunning6414 Helicopters are actually only allowed to fly to the border of Sarek, not inside. Except rescue operations of course.
