P: Nothing untoward, if that's what you mean.
O: Peter...
P: You don't have to worry about me. I'm a big boy. I can take care of myself. You've been looking out for me, so I'm just returning the favor.
O: Thank you.
P: There was no letter today, was there?
O: No.
P: Happy Birthday.
O: You better get back upstairs before Walter falls asleep in your bed.
P: Yeah. He has actually done that before, while I was sleeping. Really not something you want to wake up to.
O: Good Night.
P: Good Night

Definately the first time they both knew it could lead to something more, it's just too early for them. She got up at the right time. Very intense because they keep eye contact the whole time. Wonderfull show.

The EYES! Those lovey dovey stares they give to each other, they knew they were falling into something with each other. I swear she got up while talking bcoz she was about to kiss him :D :D

i love this scene. for me, its the beginning of something between them.. you can see the way the look at each other.. she gets off the bench because its just.. too much i think.

OH MY GOOOODDD!!!!!!!! I love how they have these moments where they dont talk and just stare at each other!! Its so UGH! But i dont want them to get together just yet, its too early, its only the 2nd season!

You know did you all see the little look he got just as he went to turn to the door, after he said, Really not something you want to wake up to, the smile and look in his eyes he was definitely thinking he wanted it to be her,lol, And of course her jumping up after he said happy Birthday, was because she got nervous, and was afraid of what might happen if she didn't get up, like he would kiss her, and she was just getting over John, so it was understandable, really a cute moment though, a fave.

John had nothing to do with it. Peter wasn't the type she could only be partially with. She knew it was the type of relationship she would have to be an in and there was no way that was happening yet

This is where Peter really started to get himself involved with Fringe..in more than one way. I think for the 1st time he took it upon himself to do something potentially dangerious, all to help Fringe (and Olivia) solve their case..

actually I think she stood up because SHE thought they were going to kiss lol...I'm just watching this episode, half way through it!! :D I've already fell inlove with Peter (deeply, and badly), Olivia is kind of a though rock but I'm guessing I'll love her in time :) thanks for uploading! great scene

You know I really think people know if there is room for sexuality in a relationship the moment they meet. That doesn't mean it's always the right moment but people know when tension is bound happen between them, imho. I think he had a crush on her from the very start and she has always been attracted to him and his ways even if in the beginning she loves John Scott, of course.

That Nina gets to call in a favor from him sometime in the future. So, nothing in this episode. I'm sorry I can't recall what that is in the future of it ever turned out to be something but it creates tension here that Nina gets to hold that over his head. Also interesting that Nina sees Peter as valuable to her.
