Frisian Flag 2023 - Mass Launch from Inside Leeuwarden Air Base

The international exercise Frisian Flag 2023 took place at Leeuwarden Air Base. From Monday October 2, 2023 until Friday October 13, 2023, two waves will be flown every day from Monday to Friday. These waves take place in the morning between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM and in the afternoon between 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM. The unrest in the world and an ongoing war on Europe's Eastern border make it once again clear that peace and security cannot be taken for granted. Well-trained units are therefore of great importance to keep the Netherlands and NATO territory safe and to defend them if necessary, now and in the future. Frisian Flag is the Dutch exercise where this is trained in an international context.

Thanks. No VTOL on video yet, but that's a matter of time before we catch a few! The ones which participated in Frisian Flag flew directly from the carrier unfortunately!

Is the F-16 not capable of taking off without afterburner? Because the rest isn't using afterburner. Or did the Belgians not get the memo?🤣 I love it though.

That's the difference between 4th and 5th generations. Vipers need more engine power to take off 😆

Prima film, maar sorry, toch effe "zeuren". De Eurofighters v.a. 17:30 zijn van TLG-31 "Boelcke" (zie embleem), niet "Boeckle". Kleinigheidje, maar toch.
