The dancing has elements of other dancing troupes. Like the Follies Bergere in Paris with the Can-Can. Plus the Radio City Rockettes and the high kick. Plus many other groups all around the world.. GOD Bless All of You, Amen. Hi from USA, June 2021 A.D. 🇺🇸.

Ich tanze selbst Garde und weiß wie anstrengend das ist, es war wirklich traumhaft alle waren synchron ihr habt schön gelächelt und getanzt. Macht weiter so!!

Diese Garde ist wirklich unglaublich gut😍Aber ich muss sagen das sie mir zu steif Tanzen😆Ich weiß das das den traditionellen Gardetanz ausmacht aber ich bin es von unserer Garde gewöhnt das sie ein bisschen....naja....lockerer Tanzen😂😂😂

Das ist einfach die Körperspannung,für die ich die echt bewunder.Die Spannung macht ja auch so einige Punkte auf einem Turnier aus.Aber generell sieht es auch spannender aus mit viel Spannung,anstatt mit weniger,finde ich🙃

This originated originally in the german Karneval to mock the armys of the time. In the more authoritian societies of the last centuries, Karneval was the day where everyone was allowed to critizise everybody. Thats why the costumes have that 18th century military style. Nowadays its a demanding and competetive sport though.

The first march piece is from Hoch Heidecksburg, the second is from Schönfeld Marsch. The other I do not know.

Thats the purpose in Gardetanzsport (Garde dance routine). The display a group of soldiers. Just dancing soldiers. Hence the style of costumes.
