I love how this movie says the “frogs” that are actually toads, and James says it to. And he called an alligator a crocodile. Its great.😂

I am so sorry for your loss, James. Your dad must’ve been a hilarious and kindhearted man based off of how you turned out. I’m sure he’s very very proud of you and your channel. I recently found a new horror series called Hatchet (last movie is called Victor Crowley). And the kills are absolutely incredible! I won’t say much but it’s worth the watch.

Steven Spielberg described Piranha as "the best of the Jaws ripoffs." I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed that movie. I haven't heard such high praise for Piranha II, (unseen by me), though that was the film that kicked off James Cameron's career.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 during the pandemic, and he passed in May 2022 during my first year of college. Dead Meat has been an outlet for me throughout all of this. This channel has brought me a lot of joy, and James and Chelsea deserve time to themselves to recollect after such a tragedy

My dad was a science teacher and would put this movie on after state testing in his class. I miss that man a lot and completely forgot about the movie until you mentioned it on the pod. As an animal nerd, I always appreciate when people point out movies with the wrong animals. My favorite will always be the time I saw a legless lizard in one of the numerous "why did it have to be snakes" scenes in an Indian Jones film.

I’ll be honest, the only animal in this movie that could do all of this is the tegu. They’re not serial killers, but they can solve even the most advanced problems out there and trick both alligators and humans. They’re literally as smart as the Jurassic park velociraptors. Having been researching this species for 15 years, I can vouche for the point I made.

I remember seeing Frogs in Blockbuster as a child and always wanting to rent it. I got to watch it on Netflix maybe six or seven years ago and thinking "I've waited fifteen years for this, and now I've seen it." Fun fact: At 8:50 The tarentula you saw is named the Arizona blonde or Aphonopelma chalcodes for the nerds. They are amongst the gentleness tarentula there is and they are easily handled. No wonder why they are often seen in films.

As someone in health care, it is not just difficult to understand how someone is gone, but it is also struggle to accept that they are. No two people grieve the same way, everyone deserves the proper time and support to be able to do so. My condolences, and I wish you and yours all the best.

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally love when you cover these forgotten oldies. Sure, they may not be "masterpieces", but they're still very fun time capsules. Lots of overlooked gems out there, and I am happy to see bigger channels find them again and share them with the rest of us.
