The hurdles we may face in life can come in many forms. For some, it’s not having a voice, while for others, it’s not having the confidence to speak.
Ayesha Chundrigar's story is one where she lacked the mere ability to speak in front of someone. As such, in a world where humans lack empathy towards each other, she chose to become a voice for the voiceless.
This talk focuses on how Ayesha conquered her inner, irrational fears, and what drove her to stand where she is today. Ayesha Chundrigar is the founder and CEO of ACF Animal Rescue. A licensed psychotherapist, she also holds a Masters of Arts in International Journalism. Her achievements rank from winning the Green Innovation Challenge organized by WWF-Pakistan to heading a refugee camp of 700 displaced people in Islamabad after the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I have a stammer since school days, but when I sing, I don't stammer, I am a singer songwriter, but I do still stammer, 10 years now, in skylarks choir, not shy enough more, and made good friends too, children out there, need to know its not the end of finding your voice, music is a powerful tool for everyone, now I'm happy in myself, i write for fun, I have an album, can't read or write music lol 😂, I will try and share my song on KZfaq, thanks

Lee Lovetts’ WSSA program and How to Stop Stuttering and Love Speaking book can help you overcome stuttering if you diligently immerse yourself in his methods every single day. I sincerely hope this can help anyone struggling out there because it is beatable with patience, practice and persistence.

She seems to be have a British English accent and no stammer! Not sure if she's native Pakistani, which is not the case here or a British educated Pakistani. The sad fact is she's showing of her fluency to everyone and how she had overcome a 'terrible' stammer aka Happy ending. In other words, I had a stammer but now I can speak like you fluently! Not a good role model.

The overwhelming majority of people that stutter would love to speak more fluent. And get there ideas/thoughts out wherever they want. She’s had to work hard to gain that ability so she should enjoy the fruits of her labor.

@@TemporaryJ We don't know if she had a stutter at all or how bad her stutter was, as she never stuttered a single word in her talk. There is no miracle cure for stuttering, we can manage our stutter as best we can but we shouldn't be ashamed if we can't be fluent.

There is no direct scientific cure or treatment to remove stammering from a person's speech. If a person has Stammering till adulthood it's likely that they may stammer for the rest of their life at some level. Fluency for people who stammere is difficult and burdening ask. Communication can flourish if fluency is overlooked.

In Pakistan people have a clear accent and it’s common. Most likely it’s a mixture of British and an American accent.
