Have you found yourself in a situation where you have been aware of a social injustice in society? Do you wish to spur change against the inequity in society? Have you wanted to be equipped with skills to face the challenges of being an ally?
Dr. Evelyn Carter presented a lecture, "From Awareness to Action: The Path Toward Meaningful Allyship" discussing ways to engage in meaningful allyship, what research tells us about being an ally, and the challenges that might arise along the way.
Dr. Evelyn Carter is a social psychologist currently working as a Research Scientist in the UCLA Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
