Meg, that’s the same tomato mill our son gave me for Mother’s Day several years ago. He was here one day when I was using and liked t so much he bought one for himself. Last summer this sweet 40 year old passed away after a short battle with cancer. His wife gave his press to me-it’s a very precious item on my canning equipment shelf. Enjoy your kids-make every moment count! ❤️

This little girl doesn’t know she is not one of the older boys. Works hard. Tries everything. Eager to help. Buggy is going to be running the place soon enough. Go Girl!

It is lent around here and this year in the true spirit of sacrifice and penance we have a cold/flu in the house and this morning I assessed what I had readily for breakfast and decided to make banana muffins. I was ever so grateful when that 7 year old voice said mama can I help. I handed off the banana muffins to her and got started on making coffee. It will not be long before Meg will hear that sweet offerings and feel confident to just hand it over to her new assistant.

I love seeing how helpful your boys are and they just jump right in to help, great people you are growing!! and omgosh buggy is so eager to help and learn. There all caring young people..Love your family!!🙏💕

Love the 'day- in- the- life' videos! I came on here to say that when Ben & Buggy were in the golf cart, the editing looked like Ben went in with the pigs & Buggy took off in the golf cart with out him! I had to rewind & make sure i wasn't seeing her take off! 😄

I've heard they smell like beef when they burn and that they burn faster? Half and half bees wax and tallow. Nice candles. Pre-waxed wicks look like an excellent idea. I wish more kids would have to spend a year on a farm. No tv, no games, just nature. Learn what working for a living is really like. Buggy will be driving dad around as soon as her little legs can reach those peddles.....pssst...Buggy ask dad for wood pedal attachments so you can drive lol....😂 ❤ Buggy has experienced more about life than any of her kids her age. I love her in her little piggy tails. Your sons are beautiful to watch also. Hard working lads helping dad outside and mom in the kitchen, although like growing boys cooking is a little iffy. Not because they can't cook but what actually makes it to the table before they consume it while cooking😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤ You can tell I had brothers!

I love canning tomatoes. Home canned maters are 10× better than store bought I think. Same for there's no comparison to homegrown tomatoes from store bought fresh tomatoes. You made me crave biscuits to go with my supper tonight. Have no idea what else to fix yet! Buggie is the best little helper! Bless her little heart, helping with juicing tomatoes made her tired! She's a little doll🥰 Your men folk sure loved the leftover beef and noodles for lunch!!! Nice candles.🕯 Enjoy your dinner with friends!!!

I forgot to tell you I made scrapple. I’m a city girl so I made some adjustments to your recipe. It gave me the basics which I think really helped. Thanks for the recipes. My next one will be the honey mustard pork chops. They looked so good the other day!

Yall are just amazing in every way and yet you are so grounded and real. Your videos are fantastic and entertaining with the soundtrack, the great camera views and the really wonderful additional art shots. Every video is a treat and your entire family is easy on my eyes for sure. I used to watch about 5 homesteading channels but your is the only one that I still get notifications for. I watch 2 more animal focussed channels, one is goat breeder who is perfecting her herd for milk, body confirmation and udder perfection and she shows her goats around her area and wins ribbons (really fascinating channel is she is also an excellent videographer); the other animal channel is a hobby and farm animal rescue sanctuary. He has a small herd of top level Longhorn cattle the he is also perfecting for income in his later life. Longhorns are not food cattle, they are for pasture clean up and hobbyists. He also rescues abused, neglected and unwanted farm animals he has goats, other misc. cattle, horses, donkeys, turkeys, ostriches, and 7 dogs. All these rescued animals are beloved pets and are given names and their activities and personalities and eccentricities are displayed in his videos. He also a fantastic videographer with beautiful properties where all the rescues are living out their very best lives.

Great to see Buggy going about with her Daddy as he does the chores ; it reminds me of my own childhood on the farm: my Dad and my Grandad always seemed to have at least one child with them whatever job they were doing I felt sorry for kids whose Dad went off to work every day and they never saw them.

Ya''ll are such awesome parents! My dad didn't have time for me to join him though I tried, My mother shooed me away b/c she said she was too busy. The part that I realize looking back is that she worked full time and didn't have time to teach me even though she was a college professor. Wish we as a country could go back to mothers staying home helping to raise the children; one car, smaller home but healthy children.

My cousin and I made candles in my grandmother kitchen as kids..wax marks on the ceiling never went..fun times.. you can make crazy candles on dishes in water by twisting the dishes as it drops down. Bert should try having a go. Much love and respect to you all
