Meg, that’s the same tomato mill our son gave me for Mother’s Day several years ago. He was here one day when I was using and liked t so much he bought one for himself. Last summer this sweet 40 year old passed away after a short battle with cancer. His wife gave his press to me-it’s a very precious item on my canning equipment shelf. Enjoy your kids-make every moment count! ❤️

This little girl doesn’t know she is not one of the older boys. Works hard. Tries everything. Eager to help. Buggy is going to be running the place soon enough. Go Girl!

Yall are just amazing in every way and yet you are so grounded and real. Your videos are fantastic and entertaining with the soundtrack, the great camera views and the really wonderful additional art shots. Every video is a treat and your entire family is easy on my eyes for sure. I used to watch about 5 homesteading channels but your is the only one that I still get notifications for. I watch 2 more animal focussed channels, one is goat breeder who is perfecting her herd for milk, body confirmation and udder perfection and she shows her goats around her area and wins ribbons (really fascinating channel is she is also an excellent videographer); the other animal channel is a hobby and farm animal rescue sanctuary. He has a small herd of top level Longhorn cattle the he is also perfecting for income in his later life. Longhorns are not food cattle, they are for pasture clean up and hobbyists. He also rescues abused, neglected and unwanted farm animals he has goats, other misc. cattle, horses, donkeys, turkeys, ostriches, and 7 dogs. All these rescued animals are beloved pets and are given names and their activities and personalities and eccentricities are displayed in his videos. He also a fantastic videographer with beautiful properties where all the rescues are living out their very best lives.

Love the 'day- in- the- life' videos! I came on here to say that when Ben & Buggy were in the golf cart, the editing looked like Ben went in with the pigs & Buggy took off in the golf cart with out him! I had to rewind & make sure i wasn't seeing her take off! 😄

Buggie is such a helper!

It is lent around here and this year in the true spirit of sacrifice and penance we have a cold/flu in the house and this morning I assessed what I had readily for breakfast and decided to make banana muffins. I was ever so grateful when that 7 year old voice said mama can I help. I handed off the banana muffins to her and got started on making coffee. It will not be long before Meg will hear that sweet offerings and feel confident to just hand it over to her new assistant.

My vicarious living quotient is on high, thank you Hollars.

I wish more kids would have to spend a year on a farm. No tv, no games, just nature. Learn what working for a living is really like. Buggy will be driving dad around as soon as her little legs can reach those peddles.....pssst...Buggy ask dad for wood pedal attachments so you can drive lol....😂 ❤ Buggy has experienced more about life than any of her kids her age. I love her in her little piggy tails. Your sons are beautiful to watch also. Hard working lads helping dad outside and mom in the kitchen, although like growing boys cooking is a little iffy. Not because they can't cook but what actually makes it to the table before they consume it while cooking😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤ You can tell I had brothers!

Buggy already has great work ethic. Love watching her grow into what she will become. 💕✌️

Ya''ll are such awesome parents! My dad didn't have time for me to join him though I tried, My mother shooed me away b/c she said she was too busy. The part that I realize looking back is that she worked full time and didn't have time to teach me even though she was a college professor. Wish we as a country could go back to mothers staying home helping to raise the children; one car, smaller home but healthy children.

I love canning tomatoes. Home canned maters are 10× better than store bought I think. Same for there's no comparison to homegrown tomatoes from store bought fresh tomatoes. Great to see Buggy going about with her Daddy as he does the chores ; it reminds me of my own childhood on the farm: my Dad and my Grandad always seemed to have at least one child with them whatever job they were doing I felt sorry for kids whose Dad went off to work every day and they never saw them.

Really nice to see Ben taking Buggy on the morning chores... Dad and Daughter looks cool. Also so great to see Meg doing her cooking preserving thing - I love my wife but there are times when I'm a little envious of Megs cooking skills.

Unexpected tears. As I’m watching you Meg I unexpectedly had tears welling up. I’m 67 and I have never forgotten how much I loved pouring my heart into cooking, etc for my family. When my youngest was 17 my husband left. I was devastated we were married for 23 yrs. Then as the years passed and I was in the mist of enjoying my middle sons children Joshua was the was the first of my 3 kids to have kids. When they were 8 months, 2yrs. 4yr and 5 yrs in age Joshua my middle Son was innocently murdered at 36 yrs of age. He was at a friends house with his wife and children. My oldest son Floyd a few years later committed suicide because he could not deal survivors guilt, and my youngest Cherish has become Bi-polar. Never did I dream any of this this could happen to my family. However, I have been watching you guys since you found the NC property. I know your story and you guys beat the odds and stayed together and now expanding your family. I’m so happy for you all. What a beautiful family. I’m on disability from Lyme’s disease that I got when i was living in North Carolina for 18 yrs i got Lyme in 2002. Became bedridden before they figured out it was Lyme I got IV treatment for 2yrs and re-gained my mobility but still have extreme fatigue and excruciating pain from head to toe. I now live with my daughters Son he treats me so well he’s a great person he’s 22 yrs old. I’m so fortunate to have him. I love life and hope i can live many more years. Just over a year ago I suffered from Broken Heart Syndrome from my daughter’s situation and how it’s affected me. So I’m going through treatment for that condition. Crazy as it sounds when I found out what was going on I truly felt like my Heart was broken only to be hospitalized and diagnosed with BHS. I’m working on trying to heal my heart and mind. Thanks for all the enjoyment I get from your videos hope you have God’s blessings in your continued success.
