Remember the time when #Gilgit_to_Skardu_road used to be a nightmare. Yes, it was 2013 when I travelled to Skardu by road and now its 2022. It was 9 hrs travel from Jaglot to Skardu in 2013 and 9 hrs in 2022 as well. LOL, wonder? Yes we got too.
Road is now carpeted and full of lovely landscapes at each turn of the road. We were not able to see these serene views in 2013 due to fatigue and dirt of travel and now, it's just awesome, but.. remember, its still a nightmare with unpredictable landslides at a few points and if blocked, takes enough time for clearance. We were stuck at two points for couple of hrs that's why we completed this travel in 9 hrs in 2022 as well. Were lucky enough to not hit by falling stones directly. #Indus_river and this road tears two ranges of mountains apart. The karakoram range and the Himalaya range and merges with Karakoram highway at Jaglot, the point where three tallest ranges of mountains confluence.
Travelling through this road all the way from #Skardu to Burawai was memorable and adventurous.
