Hi everyone!
How are you? I truly hope you're doing good!
This is my reaction to "From Gods Perspective" by Bo Burnham.
Hope you enjoy this reaction. This song got me to share about my past, it's a process I'm going for when watching bo's songs and reacting to them with you. Discussing with you the ideas of life and the thoughts behind bo's songs really sparks my inspiration so I want to thank you for that!
Like, Comment & Subscribe for more content and as always don't forget to let me know what you would like to watch me react to!

Amazing people sharing their own thoughts and impacts, truly brave.
I appreciate you.

"He's so self-aware. No wonder he had a mental breakdown." this is soooo true, awarness in a fucked up world means you know all the dirty stuff and you will feel sad at some point, that's why i don't think i can be helped, i can't unsee things i saw, i can't forget things i learned.

"He's so self-aware. No wonder he had a mental breakdown." - This sentence made me stop and think. And the more I thought, the more clarity I had around certain issues that have happened in my life, and the lives of my loved ones. It makes me think of other statements I've heard and understand them better. "There's a fine line between genius and insanity." There's a Bible verse where someone is told, "Much learning has made you mad." I think maybe sometimes... the deeper you analyze issues surrounding life and society and our own inner workings - the more difficult it can be to handle/carry the weight of those realizations/that understanding. Thanks so much for that insight. One sentence that really made me think.

One of the most weirdly affirmative things I ever heard, was when I went to talk to my university professor about my depression, and he said, "Oh yeah, I wouldn't worry about that. Half the faculty is depressed or anxious. I'm starting to think it's a sign of intelligence." No idea how true that is, but like I said, it was a kind of weird confidence boost.

I had to stop the video because it struck such a chord with me too. I'm trying to bounce back from a break myself. COVID gave me the freedom to do some real introspection that I had been putting off. It opened up some stuff I wasn't quite ready for, and though I know I'm 100% better for it, it's been a time for sure.

One of my favorite songs from Bo. It's so forcefully thought-provoking and I wish more people would listen to it objectively... honestly objectively... and realize what he's saying. It's very simple. Be a better human... not a "better parishioner." If we're all better humans, we're automatically better parishioners.

In my marathon of your videos, in the last vid I commented on you mentioned 10 years of depression, and in this video you elaborated it. And yeah, that comment about how waiting for death in depression is already being dead really hit home. I went to therapy every week for 2 years straight and my therapist never got to where I am clearer that you just did without ever meeting me. I didn't miss the part afterwards either, just not sure what my version of helping is yet. The education I want in therapy I don't have the physical and mental stamina to finish while also working, and I don't have a financial choice to dedicate myself to just school. The previous way, of a form of entertainment that I already have the training in, I don't have the physical capability to do anymore. But this made me think a little harder on it for the first time in a long time and... maybe something will pop out at me.

I really appreciate your perspective. I love Bo’s work , 1, because I relate so much to those darker messages of existential dread and the feeling of pointlessness that sometimes overcomes me, and 2, because he does have these brighter points of hope. And he is, through it all, able to be hilarious and sound amazing. I have not seen any other person respond to this song at this level of authenticity. I’ve seen “religious” people (Christians) disagree with him because he says you have to earn gods love, but they don’t see the actual point of those lines, which, i think, is that love from someone else will not help you, will not feel real, if you do not love yourself. And I’ve seen musicians react to his talent and clever lyrics but they shy away from examining most of the darker themes and deeper meanings. All of Bo’s later work is so self aware and intentional, and from most reactions, it would seem that people don’t see it or want to talk about it. Anyway, thanks again, and please keep it up.

Yeah, Bo is genius and, Reaction Guy, you are. Nope, not even close to some others, but it's not the point, the point is that thing perfect or not decides the point of view, and do a perfect thing - means, exactly, do it perfect from your point of view and eventually make your view wider so thing became not perfect after you end the work on it. You know, the words you said in this video helped me to understand that.
