Mythos & Logos – World Mythology and Religions

2 жыл бұрын

The Divine Comedy is one of the most influential works in history, shaping much of modern Italian language and culture, and serving as the inspiration for countless other works. This is because Dante Alighieri's journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven mirrors an internal journey that is taken by all. This look at all three books of the Divine Comedy, Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, will explore the psychological and spiritual symbolism in the structure of this masterpiece of the Renaissance.
Mythos & Logos are two ancient words that can be roughly translated as “Story & Meaning.”

Well, you certainly revived my interest in Dante. And why this works. Well, the woods are there for everyone of us. Blinding the road again. Thanks for the illumination.

Thank you Vimal! The whole Divine Comedy is a masterpiece; I think a lot of people just read Inferno and miss out on the beautiful fulfillment of the journey.

@@mythosandlogos I think, just yesterday I came across this sentiment, so present at least online. The love to dwell in misery. The worse thing is, the belief is strong. As if inferno is the ending. But, as you said, it is the beginning... Read anything else of interest? Mine is currently peaking on little red riding Hood.
