Jeremy thanks for posting this terrific content. I was laughing as you described your running out of gas story 😊. I was just in SD late May with the wife on vacation and did in fact run out of gas😮. Long story but makes us laugh as we continue to explore this great country. We have commented to several folks how clean the air smells in SD. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you in Ga at the show👍

I was stationed outside of Rapid City in the early 70's. Loved the state! There is great trout fishing out there too. Thanks for the memories! I feel the need to return to South Dakota again.

Awesome road trip Jeremy! It’s just amazing to see mother natures vastness of beauty in our Country, it’s endless. And I can’t believe how you grind even on a road trip by crashing in the Outback. Thanks for taking us along, and can’t wait for some P Town action! 💪🏼 😎👍

I saw the tags like that once in South Dakota ! It was in the sheep like that too ! They were on the same farm ! I asked a farmer why and he said he didn’t know why either.

Ah man, that video took me back! Made a spring turkey trip out in that SE Montana country and the Custer Forest several years ago. Stayed in an outfitters cabin on the South Dakota line and hunted on the public in Montana. They had a snowstorm and lots of wind the week before we got there and there were trees down across the Forest roads so we couldn't get around very well. My buddy killed a nice tom and I was oh so close, but no cigar. Good to relive the memories!

My turkey hunt will come out later. I got one, but that was a difficult hunt.

Gotta be a reason but I've Never seen or even heard of tagging cattle in the dewlap 🤔
@doityourselfhunter9031Ай бұрын
Yes got to be a reason, maybe the super cold weather there. Keep from freezing the ears,. I did see some short ear cattle like maybe had some froze bite.
@charleywalker2982Ай бұрын

Never in the brisket. I have always seen it in the ear.
@crazymountain777Ай бұрын
Those cows are tagged in the “Wattle”. Not uncommon in the west.
@doityourselfhunter9031Ай бұрын
What’s the reason for tagging them there instead of the ear?
@crazymountain777Ай бұрын
@@doityourselfhunter9031truthfully it’s mostly because of tradition! That’s what Gramps and dad did and that’s what I do type of thing! Not so apt to fall off in the brush and you were right about one thing, cows out here can get frozen ears and tails when winter wind chill can reach -100 degrees. Most ranchers where I live do ear tags but I’m sure there’s a few old timers still doing like your video shows.
