@@westernwashingtonhistory1889 Program was very educational. I never knew the History and ultimate scale of facilities. I am former Boeing Everett, huge is our middle name. The last dry dock is huge, the crane is huge, we love huge.

@@westernwashingtonhistory1889 I lived my first 10 yrs in Gig Harbor (Key Peninsula) my next 10 yrs in Tacoma (University Place) & the last 25 yrs here in Bremerton. I miss & visit often the "big city" of Tacoma & it has grown so much, but I have always described Bremerton as a little "slice" of Tacoma. I also LOVE the geographical location here in Bremerton. What wld Bremerton be without the shipyard?!?

This is a history channel, I will probably do more history on the yard, but not what the future holds.

Nimitz is still active! At psns right now. Plans are to retire it within 2-3 years tho
