Would like to add an idea to the theory crafting. - Obtaining copper -> obtaining gold -> getting a villager = trades/iron golem farms! So, drowned can drop copper. Drowning zombies turn into drowned, killing a drowned = copper. 3x copper ingots = lightning rod Lightning rod next to pigs + lightning strike = zombified piglings, these guys drop gold, potentially enough to craft a golden apple. Gold apple + witch throwing weakness potion + zombified villager = CURED VILLAGER! 2x cured villagers = villager breeding = iron farms and trading halls! What I'm suggesting is quite a project, but, in theory, a possible one. Love the series btw! It's very impressive.

I think the trapdoors prevent the wandering trader from spawning under them. From the wiki: "ten attempts are made to find a valid mob spawning location on the uppermost block of a random X/Z position within -48/+47 of the target location on each axis." Somebody online said that this means it tries to do it on the "topmost non-air block (this means no transparent blocks can be placed above an area where you want traders to spawn)." To get snow on them, you would also need the trapdoors to be on the top half of the block, while it looks like they are on the bottom half at the moment. I would build your wandering trader platform out in that warmer biome where it rains so you don't need to deal with the snow layers.

You could name the wolf "Locksguard" because he is guarding Arnold's precious hair locks.

This gives me og Minecraft vibes even though the mechanics used are quite advanced and relatively new to the game. The editing style the storytelling and everything is so reminiscent of the original hardcore Minecraft series. Thank you for bringing my childhood back

I love that this isn't a quick paced beat the game in under 100 days challenge. I love the slow grinds.

Here’s a tip: Drown 3 zombies to convert them into drowned. Kill them so they drop copper. You should do the same thing you did with the shovel zombies in the first episode, so all 3 drowned drop copper. You need to collect water from the rain area first by using a couldron or trade fish water bucket from a wandering trader. Then craft a lightning rod using the copper. Bring 8 pigs to the rain area and wait for thunder. The pigs are then struck by lightning and are then converted into zombie piglins. Then you can kill them so they drop gold. Once again, do the same thing so all the piglins drop gold. You may bring more pigs if you wish. Then obtain apples from oak trees which you’ll eventually get from wandering traders. The oak trees should drop apples and you can create a golden apple. Then you can get a witch and make it throw a weakness potion at a zombie villager. Now you have officially obtained a villager! You can already create a bed for the villager. You can choose the job block you want, however some may not be possible to craft yet.

One thing if you have a bunch of redstone: Minecraft had a change a bit ago to light levels that made redstone torches block mob spawning a bit. If you can’t make regular torches, redstone torches may be a cheaper alternative to glowstone. Loving this series!!!

Edit: Thanks to Bluepsycho, ilmango actually uses a mod to get the lava. Hopefully Mojang adds a legit way soon! Reminder down the line that it's possible to get a lava bucket as a gift from smithing villagers when completing a raid (smithing block from wood and iron). ilmango does this in his skyblock series and this often goes under the radar for challenge players! (like yeah_jaron in his superflat world). Stone is definitely gettable!!!!!! Absolutely so invested in this series, can't wait for the future and see the world as we know it evolve

In fact it is much more efficient to use ilmango's design of the mob farms that uses patfinding for full blocks. which was also more efficient to go down to the lowest y level to spawn an higher rate of mob (there is a method to go down without water now that you have trees)
