My Mom gave me the advice of watching for a person with extremes...too much street/partying & too much church, on the other hand. They will both be bad news. I'm glad she called out that addiction to doing stuff at church. I grew up in a church environment where people were just obsessive about doing stuff that involved the church. Later in life, I found out that many of them were just swapping one addiction or obsession for another. We have to learn to deal with our emotions rather than bury them in something else. They are both unhealthy and don't need to be in a relationship with any one right now.

I’m not sure if being deeply involved in the church should be pinned as excessive and a replaceable habit because it’s THE habit to hold on too. Go assemble and lift praise and worship and your graciousness and love together and teach.
