It can take some getting used to, but the largest intuitive advantage is that when your horse, a thousand pound animal, hits a single person, you deal like half their health because cavalry charges aren't so much about the weapons as the speed and force that humans can't compete with.

Hey Hello Howdy, I'm a little late to the comments. Wanted to watch the video before commenting some tips and tricks. 1: You can lock items in your inventory using the little empty circle, this will allow you to fully sell items with [D] or the two arrows pointing left in vendor menus. You can do this with food and horses so you don't have to worry about selling them and can quickly offload that combat loot. 2: When upgrading units you can hold [Ctrl] and click to upgrade all the units within that stack with an available upgrade OR [Shift] click to do five if you are only wanting to upgrade part of that stack though fully upgrading a stack of units is the most effective as units in one stack share the XP gains from battles together.

I usually use imperial for infantry and cavalry since they've got tier 6 for those, and the middle of the map is always nearby. Their archers and horse archers aren't the worst for throwaway troops if you need numbers for sieges or garrisons.

The best thing for you to do wouldve been telling your archers to hold fire and turn them to infantry when the cavalry got to gallop mode it wouldve thickened your lines so the cavalry wouldve been slower oh and circle 31:26
