If you are looking for a nutritious and delicious feed for your livestock that is both affordable and time efficient then fodder may be for you! A seed is only 30% digestible but holds the potential of being a nutrient rich food source. The process of sprouting barley for our horses, goats, chickens and pig enables us to unlock all of the vitamins and minerals that the seed had stored away for a rainy day! As a tiny sprouted plant, that little barley seed is now 80% digestible. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to provide your animals with something healthy and green even in the dead of winter!

You should do a series to show how healthy your animals are with some chit chat while you do your daily routine. You can do it over and over a few times. If you have a good story to go along, that’s the work, people love watching animals get fed. They also like to see people working. You can be the fodder lady.

My dear, allow me to hardly commend you for your enthusiasm, your specificity, and just an all-around positive attitude in conveying the information you have for us! It's 1:30 in the morning, I'm in pain, and I'm beat to a frazzle, and I'm only one minute and 18 seconds into your video, so I'll have to shut down for the night and come back tomorrow to watch the rest! I promise you that I shall indeed watch your entire video, because I can tell you believe what you're saying, I can see the result of your efforts behind you, and the fact that you have a house Pig commends your worthiness as a person and a conveyor of truth to me as nothing else could! That’s a pretty masterful DIY version! Have you kept up with this through the year? Too much hassle? Or keep feeding even in summer? Do all of your horses still eat it and last question is how do you know how to offset regular hay in terms of how many trays per horse? Thanks!

Goats are extremely picky so to introduce them to barley I rinse a small amount of barley, drain, then carry the fodder to goats, just before giving it to them I spay the fodder with a mixture of 1/3 molasses 2/3 water. The goats were hesitant at first but the molasses did the trick. However my pigs and chickens love sprouted barley as it is. I give them about 40 percent of their feed the rest barley

Hello. Very nice explanations and demo. Thanks for sharing knowledge and your learning. Can you answer few questions, if possible 1) Do you add any additive like vitamin or protiens to overcome certain deficiencies in animal? I think it will be good to add directly on day 2-3 (after sprouting) 2) What solutions you showed when about to spread the seeds on trays. 3) Do you monitor humidity? what is the ideal range? 4) Why bulb is on the top row only? Kindly explain.

You say is "low sugar". Do you have information about lab analysis on the sugar content? That's really interesting. One of my horses is super sugar sensitive and having to keep him locked up & feed him low sugar special bagged feeds (hay products and beet pulp). I'd love to be able to add in some fresh greens for him, if was proven low sugar product.

I would like to thank you for your efforts, Al-Habbara. I am from Morocco. I actually want to establish a farm in the countryside. I only have a question. Should it be served directly to livestock while it is green, or should we leave it to dry for 24 hours and then serve it to livestock? Is it dangerous to the animal’s stomach? Does it cause diarrhea? Thank you. May God grant you success in your work.
