Hi Moreno. Thank you for these videos, much better than some of the talk, talk, talk ones out there. I just found you yesterday and by looking at a map found generally where you are in NE France! It's amazing how fast no dig gardening allows you to switch crops! I'm still learning how to garden. I started by putting down my first cardboard and mostly composted (free) horse manure on top for a tiny home garden with cut flowers to start again in the spring near Seattle, WA!

Hi Moreno. Great video. Q: Don't you have problems with soil borne diseases when you leave the roots in the ground. Be sure you have enough crop rotation!
@TheDutchFarmer
@TheDutchFarmer 3 жыл бұрын
No problems so far. We keep the soil food web in balance and fed by continuously adding a source of carbon. In turn they keep the system functioning. Between the heat loving crops we have several successions of other fast growing crops as well.

What is your watering regime with the drip irrigation?
@TheDutchFarmer
@TheDutchFarmer 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike, depends on the season and temperature. Couple of times a week in spring and fall, once a day in summer, barely in winter. Of course sometimes this varies depending on dry/hot spells etc. I also prefer to do a deep watering than short cycles of shallow watering.

Haha I showed this video to my wife, she said (quite angrily): "You took off my flowers!". Sorry! :) We bought our tunnel second hand. Don't really have a source for you at the moment... I know that Farmers Friend sells accessible tunnels in the US. Here in France there are many available second hand.

Hi Moreno: It seems so easy to transform the gardening with your method, though I know it is very labor intense for a commercial/professional farm. Thank you for sharing. I guess you cut the plant stems and put them into your compost. Would you share your expertise on composting? Do you supplement rock powder on your compost, the combination of carbon and nitrogen, etc.?

I tried grow pepper in tomato cage crushed peepers when hit cage. so new idea pepper tree . did had wood dry out stack. cut oak sticks ran oak bars across made kinda tree like thing T with bunch other bars run down the midle bar. stick paper branches in there. cemented stick in pezza sauce can barred entire thing in garden. planted pepper next to it stuck branches in-between two sticks go east and west on T shaped plant holder. want make potato box but did old tires. basley box joint bunch box stack on top each other extra dirt make deep bed garden fill up plant potatoes. then stack box up till like bees box with potato leaves stick out top. when leaves die fall. pull box joint apart nock pile should bunch potatoes.

make box draw line each end bord. make same thickness bord join too. draw thick fingers. shade with pencil one cut out with coping saw. tricky get if try. did 4-h. coping saw hand tool version band saw. then line boards up with corner claps. with pencil shade draw space between fingers. important don't cut these fingers. gape above want cut. put x end what want cut out. then fite perfect. think bord same as thick fingers cut first bord. use make jewelry box, draw dresser, raised beds for garden or potato box. for potato box have put bord on inside and out that slide bottom row so layer locked together. when try build box put together understand what try say all lock together then come apart. could screws not cool wood working. screws weak when kid. as kid screw in and unscrew it. know strip head.

Lovely video (I rushed to watch it as soon as it came out!). But it got me thinking, lettuce is said to be a cool weather crop, and in some other sources is considered a warm-weather crop. What is the nice temperature range for them? I, for instance, live in a place with a medium temperature range between 15-35 degrees Celsius. So I keep wondering that.
