@@gideonpraveenkumar I remember they stopped this after one year because the matches were too much one sided and boring as Australia was so strong. By that logic, I think it will be a good idea to restart this.. But back then, there was no IPL, BBL etc. Now we have such tournaments where we can see international stars playing together.. and the relevance of a world XI series now will be negligible..

The matches were in Australia. You take one guy from each country and ask them to play in Australia. That's not an ideal proposition. I think the result would be same if rest of the world is played against India in India or England in England. You can only bring the best players. But how can I bring the coordination between them in one or two days? Rest of the world team is at clear disadvantage when compared to Australia.

@Ali I gave u the reason. Better players dont make better team. Team needs coordination. Australian Captain know the conditions, his players weaknesses, their stregths and he even had the experiece of experimenting with them. And the Aussies players are playing for their country and in their own country. On the otherhand, the so called experienced players are playing under a new Captain, for n new team. You know none of them have the motivation which Aussies players have. See if Rest Of India losses what is that the players are going to lose? Nothing. They are not playing for their country.
