From war to wonder - Exploring Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia is a country that was destroyed by one of the bloodiest wars in modern history after the break up of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. Prior to recent conflicts in Ukraine, the Bosnian war between 1992 - 1995 was believed to be the most destructive event in Europe since world war 2. Claiming about 100,000 casualties and displacing over 2 million people; leaving behind a lot of damage and ruins.
There are even claims of human hunting - dubbed the Sarajevo Safari - where rich tourists paid to take sniper positions and their target - actual human beings.
The country after 1995 treaty led by the American government has been on the mend and in this video I spend a day in Sarajevo, one of the cities under siege in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Every country has a story; so does its people. I get to travel and visit different parts of the world due to the nature of my work, so I take viewers with me in the form of vlogs to explore and tell beautiful stories of the people and the places that I am working.
