The first time I heard Heartache I instantly had a connection! It helped me feel stronger mentally and it has made feel empowered to take on whatever life throws at me! I've had a lot of heartache in my life especially this past year and I won't break 'cause I'm made from the heartache! I've related to many of From Ashes to New songs but like not this one. I listen to it at least twice a day and many times on my tough days. Matt, Danny, Lance, and Maty, I'm so grateful for you all! June 29th was the best day ever because I got to meet you guys! Matt, I honestly feel like you described my adolescent years in this video. From the sports and not fitting in, to the crowds you "ran with" , to the feelings of being an outcast and being told you'll never amount to anything, like literally all of it. I'm a recovering alcoholic and I know you probably hear it a lot but the music you guys put out has helped me sooooo much in my journey. Music is everything to me because it's where I feel I can relate or somebody (a band) can relate with me and make me feel less alone or crazy. I've been through so much in my life and it all started when I lost my dad when I was 10. Everything went Rollercoaster after that. Married twice, lost my best friend and new wife 2 weeks later in a lightning strike of a things, lost all my grandparents, countless friends, remarried, countless jobs, nights in jail, and it all culminated a couple years ago when my wife and I almost divorced. The drinking got worse, started doing blow on the regular, pissing through all my money, and just falling apart. So much of your music has been sooo instrumental(no pun intended) in keeping me alive, sane, sober, and on the right track. I'm now just over a year sober and life is better than it has every been. A huge part of that I owe to music and artists such as yourselves. So that being said I want to thank you and Danny and the rest of the guys. I love what you're all doing. Thank you so much for sharing this story, it’s just so inspirational and it honestly gives me an even bigger understanding of Heartache than I already had… This song just resonates with me so much personally, growing up with autism, struggling with bullying and my struggle during my student days where I was in a degree I wasn’t comfortable in at all. To nowadays where I’m just living how I want, work a job in my career passion and proud of who I am as a person 🙂💜 With how much I love the song, I just had to find a way to get it out there to more Kiwi listeners despite the limited radio station options we have and I’m so happy to have found a radio station that helped me accomplish that… ❤️❤️ I can’t lie that I teared up when I first saw this on Facebook and now I’m watching again at work and… tearing up all over again 🥹❤️ thank you so much ❤️❤️

People are so mean at times, always judging and trying to put down those who are different just to feel powerful. Family isn't always the most important man. Mine are the reason for so much of my pain. I dealt with what you did but no family to help. They tossed me out and around like I was nothing.

In the summer of 2020, the first song I heard by you guys was Broken. I was instantly hooked and I kinda related to it in a few ways. Over time, the more songs I listened to, the more songs I related to. The same goes for Heartache. The more and more I listen to it, the more and more I love it and the more and more I relate to it. It's become my favorite song from you guys and one of my top favorite songs of all time. Your music has gotten me through some things I never thought I'd go through, and makes me feel good on days when I'm not feeling good. This adds on to list of reasons why I love you guys. You share your stories about things you went through and have helped so many people because of it, and I absolutely love that. You've inspired me so much and you will forever be one of my all time favorite bands. I love you guys so much, keep it up❤🤘

My wife and I bought tickets to Shinedown at penn state coming up. My wife love them and we also wanted to see three days grace again. We were both wondering who would be opening up for them and found out it was from ashes to new. I can say , I didn’t know any songs off the top of my head. So I then looked up your band and when I saw your picture, I knew I recognized you from somewhere. I then googled you and saw you were from Elizabethtown high school , which is the same school I went too. Then I realized your sister Beth was also in my grade. I’m so proud of you and seeing how you have grown and built this band. I’ve been listening to your music the last few days. I’m blown away by how great it is. My dream was to be a singer. I ended up auditioning for a hip hop group Mount West and became a badass rapper. I love rock music. The group disbanded, and I became an author. I will be successful and see my books turned into movies. My book $ goes to my parents funeral fund. A famous author hates me. I'm here to prove her and everyone else wrong. I'd love to get back in the studio one day and record music. But for now I'm on a mission to keep showing the haters wrong and get my portion of the fund paid off and get my mom a headstone for her grave. I was fortinate to meet Matt and Danny and gave them a signed copy of my book. I have their song Barely Breathing as the first song in the playlist as a thank you for keeping my fighting spirit alive. Depression kicks my ass but I will be successful. I don't give up. I fall and get back up. 🖤

Plain lucky. And nothing else. The other gazillions who you mentioned, they won't. They will just follow their dreams (if they got dreams, at all), they will just do what they wish, just how you said it, and they won't end in a rock band. They will end in prison or on the streets. Your (at least, now) success is not an example what can be followed by everybody. That's just an example of what even can happen, and not the example of what will happen. This is just an example of how unfair this life is, and not an example of how wonderful it is. In a world like this there's no help for the unlucky We all are just the slaves of this universe.
